I enjoyed Deadpool as well, i'd give that an 8/10. Wasn't keen on Hail Caeser tho, 5/10.
I want to watch that as I like the Coen's but I'm waiting until after I've seen the Han Solo film. I don't want any preconceived ideas about the actor.

I tell you what I identify as, a thoroughly pi$$ed of long time reader and contributor of this forum up to the back teeth with you and Presley hijacking just about every thread in this section to petty pointscore and derail just about every thread.
To that end, I'm taking a sabbatical, you carry on boring the **** out of everybody, you've bored me for the last time.
See ya

Well if you identify as a serial suicider then who are we to say otherwise?

In 245 pages I'm pretty sure there has been more than 1 occurrence of someone trying to argue against another.s annoyance
Maybe not many as for the most part it's just petty annoyances about every day life, but as far as I can tell this is not "random things that bring out the bigot in me" thread. If someone posted "tell you what annoys me - black people" would you not expect them to be called out?
I guess you just like to mock people who have mental health issues, in particular the way they cope. If its the choice between someone being so tormented by their sexuality that they kill themselves, or they come to terms with where they sit on the gender spectrum - you'd advocate for the suicide everytime because - hey one less "otherkins" for me to be annoyed by
Nice
Trans people commit suicide a lot. Do otherkins?
The vast majority don't have mental health problems. It's a result of extreme political ideology.

Things that annoy me - people who go into the 'random things that annoy me' thread and tell people they shouldn't be annoyed by things.
Its only happened once as far as I can tell and it's about otherkins and non-binary types. I don't know what makes the holy sanctity of these people so special but **** em I say. They're annoying. ?

Sorry about the muddled rest of the message - typing too quickly, but enjoyed your response. However the main point was about not getting worked up about stuff that doesn't materially affect you. Try it!
Interesting. Came from Australia. Says it all!

But bear in mind we're only talking about where someone can do a wee. That's not really a big ask for someone to just ignore and get on with their own life is it?
Other end of the spectrum - there are laws to say we can't shag kids. Plenty of paedos out there who are compelled to pretend they don't have those thoughts but are walking round eyeing up schoolkids.
So really it's about where do you draw the line and the answer seems to be - at the point where it doesn't materially affect you or anyone else's wellbeing, or the peace and order of society.
If someone is getting themselves worked up about something as unimportant as transgender bathrooms then they should probably check themselves the next time they talk about "liberals who go around looking for stuff to be offended by"
"Big ask" - things that annoy me. Try big request. Ask is a verb.
I wasn't talking about bathrooms (although I can do that). I was talking about the fashion craze of radicalised students and otherkins saying there are multiple genders and that we must comply with their thought process. Because that's what McLovin said annoyed him.
If you want to talk about trans issues that's a different discussion entirely. People who say there are more than 2 genders are not trans. Trans people (actual trans people) believe there are 2 genders and they are transitioning from one to the other. So what's the bathroom thing got to do with it? Unless you think we need a bathroom for each of the 50 odd tumblr genders?
Paedophiles are often regarded as sick so they receive mental health treatment. I'm not even saying people who identify as attack helicopters should necessarily recieve similar treatment but you're making an analogy to paedophilia? I'm confused? Who's the paedophile equivalent in your analogy, the otherkin or the person refusing to placate the otherkin? The normal person is compelled to believe something just like a paedophile regarded to be mentally ill is? In order to placate a person with (supposed) dysphoria? That's doesn't seem right. But then you're not talking about otherkins you're talking about trans people for some reason. I'm all sorts of confused here.
And it looks like the only person getting worked up by something as unimportant as transgender bathrooms is you? You literally just started talking about them when no one else was.

Stops you speaking about those thoughts - its not illegal to think them.
Not yet, anyroad.
True. So they'll be compelled to say things they don't agree with by law but they can secretly think other things (probably because they don't yet have the tech available to stop unexpressed thought).
Fandabidozi. That's definitely a step in the right direction

Yes hate crime laws govern exactly that.
In relation to this, Canada looks to be passing bill C-16.

Case in point, the McDonald's advert about the child whose father died. Found this article, agreed very much with:

If you don't like it ignore it.

What effect is it to anyone else if they identify as non-binary? I view the world as fairly black and white, I'm a logic man instead of creative, but if their viewpoint puts them at ease with themselves, who would I be to deny them peace of mind?
It's hard to ignore it when they're legally compelling you into agreeing with them.

There's a reason freestyle footballers aren't on professional pitches. There's a reason McGregor isn't in a boxing ring.
It's crazy there's this much interest. I like McGregor and appreciate he's hard as nails. But this isn't street fighting against Nate Diaz or any other UFC fighter. His opponents may have black belts in Kung Fu but none of them have spent their entire lives working on head movement, balance, footwork, ring craft and punching in a boxing ring. Now McGregor is going up against a guy isn't just a qualified boxer. He's elite! He's never lost to another elite.
Mayweather will be even more unbearable during and after this.
Yup I see it only going one way. McGregor can't go to ground or anything like that if it's not going well.
I like UFC but if you're an elite boxer you'll probably gravitate towards boxing than MMA.
Fair play to McGregor for giving it a go though. A big pay day or not his reputation is on the line. And Mayweather too I suppose. It'd be more embarrassing for him if he lost.

God, Mayweather is a cock. You'd think he's active with how much talking he does about himself when his fighters are out.
I'd like to see him and Billy Joe Saunders have a fight. Under water. With no breathing apparatus. For 12 rounds. Hughie Fury to referee
Sounds like he is fighting Conor McGregor. McGregors signed his part.

when someone makes a massive effort to pull out of a junction ahead of you, as if you might delay them getting to their destination in time, to then not speed up at all, forcing you to half your speed, even when you aren't speeding.
Simply, if you're not going to go as fast as me, then get behind me, not in front. Muppet! Grrrr
That annoys me with people walking too. Crossing the road or walking out of shop doorways to walk in front of me at a snail's pace.
I get pedestrian rage more than driving tbh. The one that really annoys me is when a stream of people are coming towards you in the opposite direction, but none of them think to get on the same side of the pavement. Like I'm supposed to zig zag between them all. **** that, I just Richard Ashcroft them.

When people go to turn right, but instead of pulling into the designated turning lane (whatever they're called) level with the road, they turn into it at an angle, leaving their rear end in the middle of the road.
Which causes cars behind to brake or swerve to the left.

The current vogue to start replies to questions with 'so'...
I heard some posh historian do it a few weeks ago then everybody on the BBC has started doing it...
I know it's now going to spread to management meetings at work now because they will have seen it on breakfast TV and can't help but immediately copy it......
Dimwits
I almost put this up the other day after I noticed someone start a thread with a "Right, so..." for the second time in a few days.
Starting a thread like that's even worse. What do you mean 'so?' I always think. 'So' is a coordinating conjunction but that's the first thing you say? We weren't even talking. What does your 'so' reference? This is the first post in the thread! Grrr!
So (correct usage) yeah I find it irritating too.
Mark Zuckerberg does it all the time.
