Agree on Morrison. Sibley went down before the 'squeeze', he needs to be stronger (will come with age?).

Chris Martin use to go down whenever anyone touched him and our fans loved it, he got a foul nine of ten. Jack (I fall a lot) Grealish again falls over every time and gets a foul given for him. Sibley was never going to go anywhere quick the two Birmingham players made sure of that.

I must be missing something. A lot of slagging off of the ref (surprise surprise) but I can’t say that I’ve noticed him being that bad. Perhaps I shouldn’t have had that large glass of whiskey.

What about the persistent fouling on Morrison? There have been at least four late challenges no where near the ball but no booking or free kick? Sibley gets squashed between two players but no free kick.

Well it does seem funny that our rivals allowed on the board and ours get was force to leave it.

And was not just me who said it but also radio also mentioned it saying we in embargo and so are they but like they said reading can carry as normal and we cant. It has become what gibson wants he gets.

So we are going with conspiracy theories that because one of the members supports Forest means this is all fabricated or forced upon us.

You could also argue that because Pearce was on the board our indiscretions went unchecked.

Does anyone fully know the Reading situation? According to the charge sheet we have broken so many rules. Have Reading breached as many as us? Probably not.

  4. I have said it before Mel was only in this for himself. If he really is a fan then he would not have let this happen.

He saw an opportunity to make big money by Derby getting promoted to the Premier League. He would then pocket a lot of TV money or sell us for a large profit.

This did not happen, he is now refusing to run the club properly and I can really see us going into administration under his stewardship.

I once compared him to Mike Ashley and got castigated on here. I was wrong. Mike Ashley is better. At least Ashley did the right thing when Newcastle got relegated. He did what he needed to get them back to the Premier League.

Mel is more like Randy Lerner. An owner who completed checked out. Lerner gave zero investment and got Villa relegated.

The witch hunt against the EFL is mid boggling. Did the EFL or fans force Mel to buy horse poo players with big wages? No. Do they run the club? No

Accept it, we have broken the rules and now they are enforcing these rules. If this were Forest or Leeds we would be baying for blood. Mel’s egotistical battle with them has not helped but the EFL are not fabricating the charges against us.

The club is badly run, owes a lot of debts and this will continue whilst Mel is in charge.

  5. I also think that if this situation isn’t sorted soon allowing Rooney to sign players I could see him quitting.

I actually think Rooney probably has loan players lined up to bolster us. These are most likely season long loans, like Mengi, which we can’t complete due to the embargo.

The question is if the embargo does not get lifted, meaning Rooney goes with what he has, and we get beat in the first five games. Then will the fans blame Rooney or Morris?

  6. We are on the verge of being an embarrassment again. Just over two weeks until our first game with no senior centre halves, one striker who is in his mid 30s and still under this embargo.

Morris and Pearce should be working night and day to get this sorted ASAP. They may well be but we don’t know either way.

What will the fans say when we are getting hammered every week because we are no where near competitive? Will they still support Morris and say he tried his best? If Morris was not a local man he would be being castigated now. It is is ‘fan’ label that is saving him in my opinion.

I was a huge supporter of Morris but from what I read and see (as this is all I can base my opinion on) unless things dramatically change he will ruin this club for at least a decade by his actions.

I know you mean well mate . Brian Cloughs first season at Derby was very poor and Alex Ferguson nearly got sacked at United.

You could argue Rooney was left in the Carp by previous managers including Frank who I have very high regard for.

Why do fans always quote the Clough and Ferguson situation in some vain hope of things improving. For one Clough had a very good assistant who could spot a talented player and a chairman who at that time backed him. Ferguson has a previous track record of winning so him being successful at some point was likely with some patient. Rooney’s record towards the end of the season was appalling. He could have been sacked at the end of the season. In my opinion he only has the job because he is already on our wage bill. It saves Mel some money whereas a new manager would mean new wages plus having to back them and Mel does not want that. Save every penny (apart from the jolly to a luxurious training camp).

Let’ s leave it there. I’m a MM fan. Problem is he’s not perfect and if I try (again) to explain where I think he’s messed up ON OCCASION it seems like I don’t appreciate what he has done for us.  So I don’t want to do that.

btw I respect that you want to encourage positivity on here

What has Mel done for us exactly? Please elaborate.

When bought control of this club we were favourites for promotion. We are now (most likely) favourites for relegation. We are in severe financial troubles, CoVID aside we had to sell our stadium to balance the books, this was not CoVID related.

If he had a case against Keogh then why has Keogh won his case?

Now I don’t know the full picture but from the outside he has spent a lot of money on players and it hasn’t worked out causing us problems. He has tried to improve our image with people like Cocu, Lampard and Rooney and if hasn’t worked. He tried to be clever with FFP and it hasn’t worked. Is there anything else?

He is now trying to get out ASAP and has had two failed takeover bids. Why would a man who has the club in his heart done all this. Why has he tried to sell us to a fake Sheikh and then a potential fraudster.

I backed Mel years ago and stuck up for him. I said we should be proud as we had a local man as our owner and other owners are worst.

Mel should have appointed a football director from day one.

It is my opinion that Mel took over to get promoted so he could cash in and it hasn’t happened. He saw the riches of the Premier League and he saw pound signs. There was no other reason. As said this is my opinion.

  9. Jack Marriott could be considered lazy. He has not been dropped by just one manager now. I make it four. Why? We don’t fully know.

Get Jordan Ibe out of the club and off the wage as soon as possible. Over a year now and not even one game for us. He has the money to get the best support and is still no closer to recovery. Why is this? There are people with depression sat alone with no money and no hope. He has the complete opposite. I have sympathy for him but come on. Bournemouth released him and signed sick note Wilshere. They clearly are not harsh when it comes to support and patience by signing Wilshere who has barely played in the last two to three years. So why release Jordan? Maybe just maybe they saw or knew he wasn’t going to return (or didn’t want to).

Bobby Duncan believed his own hype and has failed. He may have been a great youth player but it clearly hasn’t transcended into adulthood (yet). Maybe with Rooney as a guide he fulfils his potential. If he does I still think he will duck off at the first sign of a bigger club.

My view is that we have enough quality in our attack to survive but the coaching and management isn't bringing out the best of that talent.

The drop in goals isn't purely down to individual dips,it's illogical for them all to have suddenly become so unprolific at the same time without there being a central external cause.

The problem us that it's sadly too late to positively change anything to alter it this season.

How is Rooney not good enough? He was arguably the best in his generation for forward play, scoring and creating goals. If he cannot teach or coach the forwards on this subject and gain results either the players are not good enough and he isn’t.

  11. Rotherham play five games in 11 days. Two of those are Coventry and Birmingham. If anyone thinks they have a big enough squad to play a game every two days and the players will be full of energy and injury free then you are seriously optimistic.

There other three games are QPR, Boro and Barnsley. Both Boro and Barnsley are pushing for the play offs so they won’t give them easy games.

Oh and then on the 27th they go to Brentford.

  12. Personally I am sceptical of Mel’s judgement. Surely it is his judgement that has taken us from being certainties for promotion to fighting relegation with big financial problems.

Yes, I know CoVID has had an impact but it wasn’t CoVID making us sell the ground to his sister company to avoid FFP.

I actually think Mel wants out now at any cost. He doesn’t care who buys it he just wants the money.

On reflection he made some bad choices with managers and it has cost us.

  13. What I am enjoying the most is all the fans who are now claiming they knew CKR was this good. We have a lot of fans who should be on a super scouting team. Let’s face it no one was happy when we signed him. He is in his middle thirties and a poor goal scoring record.

I for one was a fan who criticised this signing. It seemed desperate just like Kevin Poole or Dean Holdsworth.

I am glad he is a success but no one expected it.

  14. I highly doubt Kaide will play for Liverpool, especially now as questions are being asked due to their drop in form.

The chances are we will see him on loan at some other Championship club, but oh well just another promising English youngster whose potential could be stunted due to bad choices.

He could be in our first team next season. Instead he will sit in their youth team.
