Most people quote 50 points and you will be safe. In the last 6 seasons barring 2016/17 season there as been teams getting less than 50 points and avoiding relegation. I think there is a lot of poor teams in the Championship this season and I think 48 points will see your team avoid the bottom 3 positions. Based on that, Derby need to find 8 points (2 wins and 2 draws). You could be right about the Birmingham match being a big game for both teams. I hope this International break will be in our favour and we can get 3 pts against Luton to take the pressure off.

A Derby fan would not want the club relegated under almost any circumstance

Helps when Rotherham have had two weeks off. I’ll look forward to seeing how they do when they get 2 days off between games.

Rotherham Covid again United don't deserve to stay up, pulling the covid card when they have a couple of key players not available due to being positive on tests. Then when they do have a match, they play thug football. On current form they will lose 3 and draw 1 of their 4 games in hand and that will keep them in the bottom 3.

Looking at the teams trying to avoid the last relegation spot (assuming Wycombe and Sheff weds are sunk). Huddersfield followed by Birmingham have the hardest run in (playing teams at the top looking for promotion). I still think that its going to be between Rotherham and Birmingham. Hope its Rotherham covid card pulling thug football team.

Or better still, working out how to ease the financial woes of the 70 odd clubs teetering on the edge of extinction due to Covid restrictions. As it is, they'll simply end up spending another £2 million fighting a case they can't win before passing the bill for their stupidity to the very clubs who are struggling to survive.
Let's be honest here; we're talking about a body who seem far more keen on protecting the interests of Premier League teams than those they purport to serve. They have been seen to be wholly unfit purpose in every regard for a period of years now and the sooner they are put out to pasture, once and for all, the better for all concerned.

Our current position in the table does'nt look good. But what i was trying to get across is the teams below are in a worse position, they would all have to gain more points than us in the next 10 matches to put us in danger.

Lets look at the bigger picture, Wycombe are doomed and so are Sheff Wed. Rotherham have only won 9 games and have lost 18, only bettered by Wycombe who have lost 22. And Rotherham have done that in less games than the rest of the division. So can you see them winning all their games in hand? They are facing a fixture melt down pulling the Covid-19 card and at some stage having to play all their games in a short space of time. I predict Wycombe and Sheff Wed are going to get relegated. the last slot will be between Rotherham and Birmingham. I will stick my neck out and say it will be Birmingham and thats based on their remaining fixtures. They have Reading, Watford, Swansea and Brentford in their next 4 ganes. Followed by Stoke, Rotherham, Forest, Rams, Cardiff and Blackburn.

On current form Rotherham have won one gane in 5 and that win was a narrow 2-1 against Wednesday who are doomed on their current form. Okay we have not won in the last 5 games, but 3 were away, the Cardiff match was written off by Wayne and he got it wrong. Then the Coventry game back fired on Rooney. The Barnsley game on current form was our hardest test and I feel the Tykes were lucky to get a point.

Rotherham will be in the worse possible position with these games in hand. Its always been stated "better with points on the board than games in hand" They will end up with too many games to play in such a short space of time to avoid relegation.

Unless there is a shift in form, Wycombe and Sheff Weds seemed to have booked two slots leaving one to go down with them. Rotherham may have games in hand(only 1 on us), but they need to win at least one of them to pull out the bottom 3. In their favour is a -8 goal diff. Coventry & Birmingham are only split by one difference and either one could get relegated. Huddersfield are only 1 point behind us but have played a game more, but have shipped in 51 goals this season so far (only bettered by Wycombe who have conceded 55). They also could get relegated. The Rams dented their revival against Cardiff and also damaged their goal diff (Rooney resting players could backfire). Above us, QPR on 40 pts look safe due to having 14 games to play. Forest, also on 40 pts could get sucked into the relegation fight with Watford, Reading, Norwich, Brentford and Cardiff being their next 5 matches to play.
With Home and Away form not really coming into play this season (no fans). I'm going to predict Wycombe, Sheff Wed and Rotherham for the drop. Shame about Wednesday's 6pt deduction, but even if they were given them points back they would still be sat in a relegation position.

Ffs, if we win our game in hand, we’re ahead of forest. So if we’re worried about teams behind us catching us up, why not hope forest loose instead. Even if Rotherham won against forest, they wouldn’t go ahead of us, but forest could in that scenario.
this thread is annoying me now. So many people pooping the bed over other teams results. It’s all in our hands, we just need to keep doing what we’re doing.
‘Oh no, some teams are putting together some good form’ - yes, we’re one of them, check the form table.
‘but any teams can go on a bad run’ - yes, they’re called Birmingham and Bristol at the minute.
there may well be some twists and turns to come, but we are well out of this now. People just love to have something to wring their hands over.
