You wpuld expect there to be more creativity from the likes of Bird & Sibley when they drop a level, add Barkhuizen NML and mayne Hourihane there should be creativity there. Its easy to say we need a prolific striker but a striker can score for fun 1 season then barely but double figures the next. You would expect CKR & McGoldrick to do better in League 1 than they did in the Champ. Id take them 2 plus a younger player on loan, like Ellis Simms maybe.

Johnson was a victim of his own price tag which wasnt his fault. Always thought he was a decent player, would 100% have him back, offers something we dont currently have.

They bought Undav for around £6m, surely at 25 they wont loan him to us? He did score 27 in 41 games last season though.
In regards to Ferguson at 17, I think I would prefer to give Cybulski or Stretton a chance. If we're to loan a striker I would prefer someone with abit more 1st team experience like Simms or Jebbison

I’m sure he scored 8 of Sheffield United’s 20 Premier League goals the season before last…that’s very good in that league for one of the worst sides in many years.
He is technically very good and I think he would still be very effective in league one.

Interesting. A lot of managers appear to have seen something in him that I haven't. Feel he never quite had the composure, technique or football brain. Not a bad player by any means, but I always thought Max Lowe and Dylan Williams were streets ahead. 
We only want people at Derby who are fully committed to the cause and building something new and special. Given we've been robbed of players left, right and centre, £400k is shabby but it's better than nothing. Auf wiedersehen, Lee.

You keep making this point Alram but what you’re saying is contradictory, young players are not a guarantee of matching the physicality and graft you say we can expect in league one.

Barkhuizen and Mendez-Laing both offer physicality and pace (definitely NML) in the wide positions. They are 28 and 30 years old respectively, they are adults who have fully developed physically at their ages and are experienced pros at the level above where we now find ourselves having both played over 300 games each as professionals. They’re not 63 year old pensioners with glass bones, nor are they 19/20 year olds like Sibley/Bird/Ebiowei who to me, despite their obvious footballing ability, have been found at times to be quite lightweight as they still have growing to do.
Wildsmith is a 26 year old goalkeeper. Cashin and Thommo are youngsters who have extended. Of those the club has announced so far who is it that you have massive concerns about and based on what facts?

We have to remember not all signings will be for the first team straight away anyway. Some will be for the u23s who we will obviously hope can be ready to step up into the first team squad if/when needed. I think Glover & Sotana may fall into that remit.
