Looking at the training footage it doesnt look like TJJ or Waghorn are back training yet.

I think NML coming back late from international duty makes it easy for Warne to stick with Sibley on the right. I know most want him in the 10 but he got both goals vs Notts when playing on the right.

Therefore I think we will line up as follows in a 4231 -

Wildsmith - Nyambe Nelson Cashin Forsyth - Fornah Smith - Sibley Bird Barkhuizen - Collins

Vickers Bradley Wilson Hourihane Ward NML Washington

Very good line up & a strong bench for all positions there, thats not including Elder, TJJ & Waggy - Warne should have some decent options in the next couple of weeks.

Personally, I think we're going to hit our stride & form after this international break. We have started to play some decent stuff at times, 7 unbeaten anyway plus almost a fully fit squad with plenty of options, not a bad stretch of games until Christmas either - would not be shocked if we remained unbeaten until then.

Same line up as I predicted, Waggt on the bench over Ward

  3. I think a bit of rotation may be good with it being a 3rd game in a week.

I would bring Barkhuizen & Sibley in for Wilson & Bird. Not sure its worth risking Bird starting 2 in a row after his injury. I did think we should give NML a rest & start Wilson but last season NML battered these away, not sure if its the same left back for them though?

I reckon we will name the same starting 11 though.

  4. Our bench tonight was stupidly strong for this level, Warne himself said its the best bench he has had ever as manager.

Hopefully we will have Ward & TJJ to add to it soon who could be the keys to improving our home form. Warne said that he signed TJJ for games like Sat where teams sit in against us as he can make the difference.

Back to tonight, I think most fans would have taken 4 points from Sat & tonight.

  5. Bird & Hourihane wont be ready to start, both NML & Waggy looked off the pace yesterday.

    4231 -

Wildsmith - Nyambe Nelson Cashin Forsyth - Fornah Smith - Wilson Sibley Barkhuizen - Washington

Vickers Bradley Bird Hourihane NML Waghorn Collins

That to me is a decent starting 11 with a lot of pace & movement up the top end which should help us to get up the pitch as well as some much needed fresh legs, then a very strong bench to call upon.

Because I hardly saw much play through the middle, from which player to who, I only remember that great pass from NML to Sibs who moved nicely into the box but the shot was a bit tame.

It was mainly first half that we tried a number of times to play it through the middle and the passes got blocked or were over hit.

  7. Performance was much better but the final ball and finishing was missing massively, on another day we win that 2 or 3 nil. Waggys header was a sitter, he had to score. We seem to have struggled vs half decent teams who just sit in at Pride Park, even under McClaren we had games like today.

The booing after the game was at the ref, there were chants to him after the boos & he was booed again as he walked down the tunnel.

As for Warne's post match interview, what he actually said was we was getting joy down the sides (which we were) but then decided to try & force passes through the middle (which we did) but thats where all Cambridge numbers were so it didnt work & that we should have kept going out wide as that was working....not sure how anyone can disagree with that? Everytime we went through the middle we lost the ball, Waggy barely madr himself available but we looked a threat when we got the ball out wide.

Nyambe & Nelson looked rock solid at the back & Fornah was brilliant in centre mid, the sort of player we have been missing. Id be tempted with him & Bird in the 2 with Hourihane in the 10 as he has the quality on the ball to score or create around the edge of the box.

1 loss in 7, 3 clean sheets in a row & the squad starting to get back fit - lets see how we look when we have the likes of Bird, Hourihane, Ward & JJ fully fit & available.

I do however think some fans wont be happy regardless of what happens on the pitch whilst Warne is in charge. Even if we won the league they would moan about something.

Had to turn RD off again tonight as it was totally negative.

Steele asked if social media opinion was for Warne to be sacked .

The other guy Ash was also totally negative .

People were texting in saying it’s a hard listen with all the negativity.

Steele said McClaren couldn’t believe what NC had left him and Simpson squad wise with the riches in midfield of Hughes ,Bryson and Hendrick and strikers like CM .

Anyhow I’m not going to buy into this negativity .

Steele says no bigger Derby fan than him and we can still do it this season if we play better football .

Steele was super negative on Saturday after our win. Most of what he said was nonsense, having watched the game myself he was completely wrong.

It actually comes across like he has an agenda & like he is trying to force an opinion onto fans who cant watch the game & seems to forget fans can also watch away games via Rams TV.

I used to like his summarising but this season he seems way off.
