Haven't heard anything official, but I think he has a 'weak ankle'.
He's be my cup keeper for next season to be honest.
I suspected it, but it could easily have been to be closer to home/family during the pandemic.
He was always #2 to Foster in the younger age groups, so it was no surprise that he didn't get a chance with the U23s when we have so many other keepers.

Idem and Foster seem to be joint 3dd choice. The pair of them along with Roos and Marshall were all part of the extended matchdsy squad. That gave other GKs, further down the pecking order, game time for the U23s.

Good luck Gary! What with him being manager and the level of ex-Manure influence there we should definitely be looking to get some of our youngsters out to Salford for some first team experience (assuming we're not going to desperately need them next season ourselves, of course!)

If I was a betting man I’d have money on Salford being Cresswells next club in a permanent move as well as one or two others on loans

I wonder if Gary Bowyer will look to sign any of our U23 players for Salford City, either on loan or as permanent deals?

A lot of the more experienced U23 players haven’t played for the U23s recently because of their involvement with the first-team squad.
Now that the Championship season is over, and with the U23s concluding their season tonight against Manchester United, it’ll be interesting to see if any of the fringe first-team U23 players feature or if Pat Lyons sticks with the U23 squad who lost 2-6 to Man Utd only last week.

What are these 'facts', as opposed to forum chat, newspaper articles quoting 'a source' and any other media outlet who's main aim is to peddle gossip?
The only fact I'm aware of is the absence of any recent comment from the one person who is guaranteed to know the current financial situation at the Club - Mel Morris. Yes, I'm sure we would all feel better if he came out and told us what we want to know but like it or not, we must wait for that to happen when he deems fit.
We all know how precarious our league position is, you don't have to be a genius to work that out and everyone is entitled to an opinion as to where the blame lies as far as that is concerned but once again i get the impression people are quoting facts when clearly they are not.

Marshall's a leader, and he's captain when he play's. He organises the defence. There's miscommunication every time I see Roos play, that's every game not just one off mistakes. And it's been that way with multiple back fours over the seasons.
Ben Hamer was keeping Roos out the team and he was terrible. I'm not saying Marshall's been good but he's better overall than Roos. I keep going on about crosses because it's a big part of Championship football. I can't remember the last time Roos actually came out and caught one convincingly. I don't know how you can't see this.

Just a reminder about this game tonight ?

It's the U23s turn to play Blackburn this Friday. Live on RamsTV, with kickoff at 7pm.
It'll be a tough game with them being 2nd in the table and our U23s being depleted due to first team duties. The U18s play on Saturday, stretching the squads as much as possible.
