I've heard from a source (Matt Hamshaw) that Derby tried to sign Windass but he's already agreed a deal with Wrexham.

Due to be announced this week.

Not started its own thread but from the horses mouth.

I don't remember that, but I do remember Paul Williams keeping goal against Bristol City after our goalkeeper got sent off, Steve Sutton I think. He let a fair few goals in though!

I remember that all too well. I took this Leeds girl I was seeing to the game, when Sutton rugby tacked their player on the line there was a hushed silence on the pop side as the ref reached for his pocket. Then the crowd groaned as the red came out, all apart the the girl I was with who let out a loud and sustained laugh, much to my chagrin.

My fading memory recalls a great shot stopper but a bit weak on crosses

My fading memory agrees with yours.

Thing is, that catchphrase became just a comedic thing when i was a kid, but watching the episode again as an adult it was heartbreaking and deeply moving. The whole thing really captured the damage that the Tories did to the mental health of a generation of people (mostly men) who suddenly found themselves on the scrap heap as the unemployment rate went through the roof

To a 14 year old me the gissa job and headbutting was funny, but I was shocked watching it again as an adult to realise the absolute tragedy of Yossers position had gone right over my head.

His King Theoden was very good too.

I think you are right. I think there was one particular challenge that was pretty…agricultural shall we say … which McMahon rightly got a bit annoyed about. He was always quite happy dishing it out though so did him.

I had to check my memory wasn't playing up, it think this is the challange.

But Barnes wasn't so happy with this

Think that was the game Mickey Lewis kicked Steve McMahon from pillar to post and McMahon spent most of the game crying to the referee

I think it was more McMahon left his foot in to try and bully Mickey, but Mickey didn't back down and McMahon hurt himself. Mickey did give John Barnes a kick or two in that game.

  7. They may have got things right on the pitch recently but this seems onimous , it gives me last days of Mel vibes. Owner no longer putting cash in and just borrowing it, until the credit runs out. I'm not bothered if they get points deduction and relegation but I really hope thay don't have to go through the insolvency s****.

They're still whining about VAR and FFP, two things things they positively reveled in when other clubs were being screwed by those things. Apparently, the governing bodies appealing Tribunal decisions is reprehensible now.

    Pathetic.

There seems to be some sort of mass hysteria going on over in Nottingham. They think they are on a noble crusade against the corruption in VAR.
