It's a terrible thing that is happening in the Middle East but most of us are capable of caring about and discussing more than one topic at a time. 

I’m with you with the disappointment but to be fair what the manager says in public is probably not what he says to the players , if he comes out and throws them under the bus he rightly gets slated , if he comes out and says it all his fault the fans and players quickly throw him under the bus , it’s a fine line and we are on an unbeaten run too🤷🏻‍♂️

We all share the same ambition but, the reality is we may not go up this season either through the autos or the play offs. None of us know what is going through DC’s mind but my gut feeling is that he is nowhere near sacking Warne. I would very much doubt Warne is thinking it’s promotion this season or bust in terms of Warne’s future at the club. That may not be good enough for some of us but it’s not us making the decisions.
With regard to “bring in someone who can get the job done” who do you suggest? It’s easier said that done. Certain managers may prefer a more entertaining style of football but there is no one (especially one we could afford/attract and is available) who can guarantee us promotion. Logic suggests that you’d go for a manager with a track record of getting promoted out of league one like, errrr Paul Warne??

I suspect he already has regular conversations with Warne. As for his patience, I suspect he has more than most of us on this forum and won’t be going into meltdown if we don’t go up this year or even end the season where we are now - 8th.

As you say yourself, the club is being run professionally (from what we can see) and therefore I can’t see why DC will be running out of patience quite yet when we are sitting 8th (albeit a disappointing 8th) and we’re nowhere near writing the season off as one we can describe as “nearly being promoted” stage yet. Nearly being promoted this season may well be an option for DC even if not for us.

But you wouldn't want to go anyway right?

Warne is doing an average job and that is where we become divided.
If he was doing a poor job and we were lower half, we would be unanimous in wanting him out. Likewise if we were top two, he would have unanimous support. 
But his 6/10 performance has put people off while others remain supportive. There doesn’t appear to be a clear way which it’s going. I don’t see us slipping back to mid table, and I don’t see us threatening top two.
I see a season of average performances and results which will likely see us fluctuate between 4th and 8th.
Regardless of the noise, Warne’ fate as Derby manager will probably come down to two or three games in May. Until then, we as fans will continue to argue amongst ourselves and May’s results will create a majority opinion. 

Damned if he did and damned if he didn't.  I am sure those screaming for the youngsters to have been given a chance last night, would have called for his head had we lost. 

Strange how he was applauded off the pitch by the majority of fans at the match last night for his contribution, but he is derided so much on here.

There's different ways of winning a football match, We don't do Champaign football, It may not be good on the eye...but a win was the aim, Wembley is a good day out, I was at the Anglo Italian Cup Final against Cremonese who gave us a lesson in football, The day out was good as any Day Out in London is, Losing a piss poor cup final meant nowt...if we do get there...I'll wager there'll be 40k+ who'll want a ticket.

16 groups of 4 teams made up of league 1, league 2 and 16 invited cat 1 academy teams. 
 
Top two from each group go through to the knockout rounds. So, we’re through to the last 32 and the first knock out stage.
