Broken promises from the management.  I can't believe a word that comes out of the club now.

I don't care what they say about transfer window habits and practices. If you have a priority need, you don't chance it to the last day of the window.

We’ve had 6 months to line up targets and a month to get them finalised. 
Without knowing the full inner workings of the recruitment process it’s hard to pin blame on one person, but the manager ultimately will be the one that will need to go if we fail to be promoted this year.

The inability of this club to deliver on its actions is concerning. We went into the window wanting a striker, publicly stating for a long time how we need extra men upfront, spent probably 6-8 months identifying strikers, yet despite raising funds through a player sale on the final day - still can’t get the job done? 
It’s this exact approach why unless there are changes this club will struggle to be successful. We are without direction and conviction. 
This is not me moaning we haven’t signed a striker BTW, I’m not sure I trust the club to sign one with quality anyway, but this is a unequivocal example of how the club can’t even follow up their own actions. 

The recruitment strategy at this club is absolutely pathetic, it’s needed sorting for years and here we are yet again.

I do think us fans Simmo deserve a bit better …we pack out every away end and have fantastic support so b club should be a bit more honest with us 
I could honestly say if the club said we can’t afford to buy a striker at the quality we want then fair enough …but I thought we were lead to believe we had a few quid but now January has gone and nowt!!! But we’ll all still be there on Saturday all 3154 of us ….disappointing

Surely if no striker is coming in then Dajaune Brown has to return, just to provide an option at least 

Promotion from league 1 will never be easier than this season.
No clubs as big as Sheff Weds or Ipswich. Reading and Wigan both in disarray.
To fail in January, twice in 2 years would be such a shame. 
League 1 football next year and for the foreseeable.

It does make sending Brown out on loan baffling. I'm pretty sure we've loaned people out to the National League outside of transfer windows before, so presumably we could simply have waited to have bodies in before agreeing a deal. Even when TJJ was fit, Brown was still also getting on the bench. An 18 year old academy product isn't the answer to our striking issues at this time, but he could have been one of the pieces in the jigsaw.
