My take on that is they are not creditors and the debt is not provable and neither are damages and any court would agree. Any cash settlement requested by Wycombe should immediately have been batted back to the EFL and Boro as there pedantic dinosaur actions caused their issue. The administrators should have dismissed this from the get go and the EFL should have done the same 8 or 9 weeks ago.

Also - the EFL could have said at any point in the last few months that these claims needed to be addressed for them to approve a takeover. Why didn’t they? Why wait until administrators present their solution to exiting administration? Because they know it’s illegal and would be challenged whenever they said it.
A total stitch up.

As I understand it:
the path forward WAS having a bid come through that satisfied the administrators (which is on behalf of the creditors, and ultimately satisfy club asset purchase as well).
That path was found and met by the 3 offers the Admin claim to have. Now EFL are saying, no, we want you to settle these other claims first. To which the administrators are saying- you have no jurisdiction to make that demand.
So the EFL must explain (to all, including the creditors) why they are demanding something more then is needed to ratify the club sale.
To note: it is my understanding the EFL have no remit to stop a sale because of an outstanding claim by another club.

Moratorium law for a start . You can't just send a letter to company in admin saying give me money without approval of the administrators and courts. They haven't gone to court and won't.
The Bill gives struggling businesses a formal breathing space to pursue a rescue plan. It creates a moratorium during which no legal action can be taken against a company without leave of the court.

I can't verbalise just how much this what I also think about is happening to the Club, and what is right and proper. Where is that 'legend' Mel Morris with an anonymous donation?!

So
The administrators caved in to the 9 point blackmail deduction to get things moving
the administrators caved in to the 12 point blackmail administration deduction appeal
the EFL expect the administrators to cave in to the Middlesbrough and Wycombe blackmail
I haven’t missed anything have i?

Disagree, if we sue anyone, should be the EFL.
They are preventing a sale despite what their statement says.
As a result we have lost Jagielka, unable to strengthen the team to fight relegation.
They have rewritten their rules, appealed independent tribunals, lied to fans, potentially costing jobs, denying creditors their money and all to effectively destroy the club, which they are currently succeeding with.
Let's not stoop to the levels of Boro and Wycombe by bringing Villa and QPR into this.
As a senior exec said at an EFL meeting in 2019.
“Taking potshots at clubs’ accounts when on-field results go badly, if encouraged, will lead to a free-for-all which will bring the league into disrepute.
“We all realised after discussion that we need to leave non-sporting matters to the EFL. It is right to let the authorities do their job and not have interference from people with ulterior motives.”

The league is now in disrepute, the simple and undeniable fact is, the EFL are responsible for that and certain positions should now be considered untenable.

So we are being blackmailed by the EFL in to accepting defeat to Wycombe and Boro?
Wow.

EFL basically not letting a founding member get a take over done, absolutely scandalous

Bit of relief on this crappy day , just overheard my dad screaming down the phone at someone, he’s only gone and got through to the EFL’s head office ??

I know he has been the reason we became a financial mess but I can see why Mel Morris chucked the towel in when trying to deal with the EFL who appear to have no interest in actually helping clubs when they need it. The EFL do not care about supporters, community’s or the integrity of the game in fact they have become poison to many football clubs.

I don’t believe this is the fault of the administrators. They’ve not been the most transparent admittedly but as Owen Bradley alluded to, this is purely the fault of the efl ‘moving the goalposts’ just as we were ready to move forward.
it’s actually laughable that the efl maintain that they are “continuing to try and find a solution with Derby”. How can they be putting 100% effort into finding a solution when they’ve got their tongue right up gibsons backside?

Owen Bradley indicating on Twitter that the EFL moved the goalposts yesterday at the meeting, effectively blindsiding the admins.
If true, and it will hopefully come out in the admins statement later, as a fan base we can’t sit back and tolerate this any further.
Protests, media campaigns, the lot - I’m not prepared to sit back any longer and let these spiteful cowards destroy my football club.

We kinda know this but no buyer is coming forwards because of the threat of action from Boro and Wycombe.
The morality of their owners - and the EFL - that would allow any possibility that a founding member of the Football League to be liquidated is horrendous.
I have lost all faith.
The EFL, club owners, the Premier League, the whole bleddy lot of them are killing "the people's game".

So many people seem to be misinterpreting what the Percy story is saying.
EFL require proof of future funding before they will approve/register any new contracts/signings, the story is nothing to do with them approving a preferred bidder.
It's a non-story.

Nope they will change it because they will all vote for it !
the Bristol CEO is saying they would take legal action if they were done because covid and it was an act of God and maybe it was everywhere but Derby because we went into administration and said it was an act of God - all the other clubs said no it wasn’t you should have prepared for it ! - I hope our new owner ( if we are allowed one) gets his legal people focused on this one because they have been throwing stones in our greenhouse.

Snippet from the phone-in last night because no one else seemingly picks up on these bits!
Radio Derby say they keep asking question but the administrators aren’t talking to media at this moment (and I’m not really sure as to why they would atm), so any news about the club is either being leaked or from ‘the other side’ and therefore there’s an agenda behind it.
Much like the statement this morning, it’s a case if staying calm and hope steady movement is being made.
FWIW I thought Nixon and Percy have been a little out of order these last few days with their postings and articles. They are both good journalists but Nixon’s cryptic answers and Percy’s last couple of articles that only portray one side have not been helpful or with the best journalistic integrity imo.

I don't get the obvious conflict of interest with Gibson being on the board of the EFL.
It's an absolute shitshow and an unfortunate reflection of how corrupt things are generally in this country of late.

The good outcome if it was Ashley is that Gibson would be flushed away like the turd he is.
