Fornah always gees up the crowd, he did it again yesterday too. I like him a bit more for it. Shows a bit of passion. He should be starting games for us.

I was close to the pitch today and in the section of the pitch (on the right hand side in the middle) that I could see it was obvious there was a lack of clarity leading to mistakes being made. Players didn't know when or where to run to, who they should be passing to, or the pattern of play they should be exercising. Laing was getting frustrated as was Wilson who had a stinker but oftentimes he was put in a poor position because he had so few options and Laing was all over the shop. To me it stunk more of poor coaching than anything else.

We’d be stupid to let Fornah go, changed the midfield around today and suddenly we looked alright. Hourihane is the problem

If Warne can’t see the issue Hourihane causes after that then he never will. Now is the time to make the change. Drop him. We need energy and movement.

Really poor performance, no better than Tue really.
Substitutions gave us a chance.  Two good goals, other than that we were really poor. Created nothing,  built nothing.  So many misplaced passes again.
Still had time to give them an open goal from 2 yards they manage to clear themselves!
    Very very lucky today.
Anything other than admitting that and Warne is testing my patience.
We were crap...but live to fight another day.
    Needs sorting ASAP.

Warne simply has to address the midfield. It's a glaring issue that until late in the game today he has simply refused to address

We are winning this in spite of Warne. We are winning simply because we have better players, and it has been the case many times this season.
It’s garbage football over and over again.

Starting to look better now we’re mixing up our play instead of obsessing over getting it wide, also addressing the dysfunctional midfield has helped.

Warne out. I don't care if we turn this game around. It's just the absolute worst dross I can recall us playing.

I worry Warne has lost the dressing room and it's unsalvageable
Senior players should be going straight to Clowes and demanding Warne goes

Absolutely grim, form completely gone. Pattern of play is truly depressing.

About 70 seconds of sustained pressure and the fans are applauding loudly.

They want to get behind the lads. It doesn’t take much for them to be behind the lads. Just give them something to cling to. Some tiny sparks of football.

Now, now! You can't expect too much from a club with one of the biggest wage budgets, the biggest ground, the best facilities and a manager with a track record of promotion.
It's your own fault for expecting too much!

Anymore incomings after a striker would result in us having to let a couple go… which for a decent midfielder I would let a couple go

They don't though, do they? At least not individually. Collectively, maybe.
But there are plenty of posters a bit undecided about the quality of football and about Warne's tactics at the games. Against Burton, against Lincoln, against Reading. Even against Oxford until we launched a storming fight back.
I'm at nearly every game and there are a fair few of the regulars - the ones who encourage for the full 90 minutes, that stay behind and applaud the team regardless of results - that are still feeling ambivalent about Warne's style in particular and whether he is getting the best out of this set of players.
    That is telling.
I'm not talking about the ones trooping down the stairs making obscene hand gestures at the few players who dared approach the stands to applaud us, I'm talking about the die-hards.

Were you there last night? I was and I can tell you that Reading did not ‘get in our faces’. We had the freedom of the pitch for most of the first half but we played like we were trying to throw the game. Last nights result was nothing to do with how Reading played; they were garbage until they got the goal. At half time my friend and I were laughing about how poor we had been but thought that Warne would see that and change things. Imagine our surprise when he sent the same 11 back out with no change in tactics. The mark of a decent coach is that they can identify the issues and changes things accordingly; that we didn’t speaks volumes about Warne and his abilities.

Or maybe get a manager/coach in that understands that a functioning balanced midfield is an alternative to endlessly lumping the ball out wide and into the box in the hope that someone will get on the end of it. Bird isn’t a bad player but is being made to look so by a coach who has no interest in playing football in any way other than his own prehistoric way.
