While we are all in a good mood following the win at Exeter and over the next 2/3 weeks filling this website with our opinions of our next 3 performances, can I take this opportunity to have an early shout out for RAMS TV.
Over the last turbulent couple of years the one thing that has remained a quality constant has been Rams TV, providing us with a professional, objective assessment of our matches (take note Radio Derby). I remember Owen Bradley occasionally commentating on Radio Derby and thought how good and informative he was at the time. He has risen to new heights over the last couple of years and (despite a few dodgy suits) is perfect for Rams TV,  keeping his commentary succinct and to the point. Shaun Barker is the perfect foil and his professional insight is well worth listening to - I can  “see what he was trying to do there” being his catchphrase. Getting Owen to Rams TV a was probably the best decision Mel Morris made during his time in charge!
Obviously, they are the frontmen for a quality team in the background and well done to all the nameless helpers in producing a great service.
So personally, thank you Owen & Shaun for your fantastic work. Hopefully, every one else who appreciates your work will show that by “Loving” this post in a mark of respect, as I know you do read this website.

People who are calling for Warne to go aren't using their heads. We're under a business plan. We cannot afford to get rid of the manager and won't be able to for the duration of the business plan, so get used to it.
Further, I don't see how you can judge a manager based on a mixed up squad of people near retirement age and young players without much experience. He hasn't been able to bring anyone in. Judge him when he has his own team.

A year ago we were questioning wether we’d have a club, now we are expecting instant success, and calling for a managers head who’s had x1 January window where his hands were tied.
We were always going to struggle this season with the likes of Hourihane, Mendez Laing, Barkhausen, Forsyth (and the list goes on.) These players have all the experience in the world which helped us during Christmas, but the relentless nature of the division makes it incredibly difficult for these players to keep up.

I remember watching Michael Johnson on sky when we played Portsmouth earlier in the year and he stated that a 10th place finish would be a success for the club. I agreed and still agree with him to be fair.

We need a building period! It’s going to hurt and it’s going to take time, but the utter mess of the Morris tenure has taken us back 5 years. Paul Warne is the man to take us forward! He knows the division like the back of his hand and the whole setup of the club is built around sustainability and building for the future.
The short sightedness of fans has been apparent for years now and it seem the pantomime in the boardroom has spread into the terraces!
Let’s be grateful that we have a club, and let’s push the lads on to a playoff place! Up the Rams!

Interesting. In our history, name another Rams Manager who has had to work under the restrictions Warne has? I am not a Warne fan and wouldn’t have made the change when it was made. But you have to put things in context before we can fully judge Warne. Hardly any players, no pre season, a squad not of his own style, very limited options to strengthen the squad, 4 or 5 older players struggling with 3 games a week. It was pretty much inevitable that the thinnest of squads would struggle towards the end of the season. The last 10 games have been poor but not as bad as what I saw in the not so recent past 🤔 Warne has to be given time, whether we like it or not or the whole rollercoaster will start again.

deanoakaram4life reacted to jono in Poll: what do you think of it so far? (Warne's tenure)
I reckon he has done reasonably well
He arrived having been given a small group of players that he didn’t choose and no means to bring any in.
He adapted our play from suicidal “play from the back” - we didn’t have the quality or pace to execute that style with any degree of aplomb. Instead, he made us more flexible and able to switch styles and not be too fixed in a particular system.
He rode the big day out syndrome, got us fitter and some more miles out of aging maestros, made us competitive and went on a good mid season winning run.
He persists in reverting to wing backs because he likes the concept, but doesn’t seem to accept  that this is flawed when your wide players and support players are not the young guns they once were and our CB’s are either inexperienced or alternatively at the end of their careers. He hasn’t really acknowledged that we get bullied. This is a tough man’s league; I have noticed time and again that we seem to be physically lightweight compared to our opponents, both in height and muscle. The only way round this, to my mind, is to keep the ball on the ground which he doesn’t do or encourage enough.

There is a lot here that is beyond his control so in the balance of aspects I think he’s done a good job but  far from faultless. I also like his honesty clichee free openness.
