Well. If he can cobble a team together for Wayne to get us out this league, frankly, I don’t give a damn.

I'll welcome Ashley if he gets the club but f*** me, he's annoying!
I'm sick to death of his game playing, he's clearly an intelligent business man so surely he understands that just continually telling everyone that he has £50m 'waiting' to complete the takeover, does not get the job done. He is a multi-billionaire so of course he has that kind of money sitting about, but unless he puts that down on the table he just looks like a buffer.
If he wants to buy the club, and if he wants it in anything other than a desolate state, walk into Quantumas office tomorrow, slap £10m on the table and tell them that they can have the other £40m next week if they just give him the go ahead.
OK that's over simplified but my point is, IF YOU WANT THE f****** CLUB, JUST BUY IT!

That scares me … not you being born, but as this has progressed we have passed through my life  from winter of 63 when I had frozen toes building a snow man and ice on the inside of the windows, moving neatly on to England winning the World Cup, Derby County winning the league, losing my cherry late in the day to an unmarried Mrs Robinson, Buying a house , Circumstances forcing me to work for myself and throwing off some shackles, meeting my future wife, getting a dog, getting married. Watching DCFC for the first time as a middle aged bloke 20 years ago. Losing my parents permanently, seeing friends grow old and ill and others soften and become wise, adopting my neice. .. jeees I am officially a senior ? .. No pension yet which is a bit of a pain ! Oops and you are just starting that journey ?. Good luck, live it, embrace it

Lost me voice tonight. Never sang so loud and so long before. I know its a defiant, us against the world thing but bloody hell the fight and commitment from players and fans is incredible.
This is one of the worst seasons in our history and one of the best.
Unreal. I have no idea how it came over live on Sky but to be there in the middle of the South Stand tonight was something special, the noise was bouncing around the stadium. Looking to my left the West Stand and South West corner were up out of their seats and to the right the East Stand were giving it some all match.
I go back to the 1970's and this is as good as the Popside and Ossie End in their prime.
    Proud to be Derby.

Wow what an evening and to think I felt like turning round when Reading got their winner. Fantastic atmosphere and if we do go down we will be more of a loss to the Championship than Fulham. Glad they are not organising the party when we die, it would be dull and quiet affair based on their support tonight.

Get your torches and pitchforks here. Let's hound Kirchner out and go into liquidation, because, and you better believe this. no ducker else is going to come charging in at the last moment.and save DCFC. Still all the holier than thou brigade will be happy then. I will not be answering any comments on this as I don't give a flying duck.

Funny thing. That was the year I got my ST .. it was great, turn up Saturday .. what will we win by ? Loved it  but no, this season beats it by a mile. Fans are with the team through thick and thin. Back then if it went badly it was bickering about which player was lazy, inconsistent or a 1 game in 3 man. “We need a LB or Martin has no pace or why doesn’t the manager do this that or the other.”
Now .. They graft, we cheer. We are one, it feels like real sport and real support.

Phew. At 0-0, Lawrence off and banned for 3 games, Reading winning, I thought: "that's it, 21 points with a paper thin squad is just too much." (Comment on the match - oops wrong thread).
But I have to say, this team really does fight to the end. Fantastic. It is a brilliant season.
It actually does remind me a bit of the promotion seasons under both Cox and TBE, where the Rams went behind in games, only to find something from somewhere and dig out a result.
They're all entertaining seasons, great teams, and do us proud. I do agree that one of the real positives this year is just how the supporters are coming together.
Maybe this is what defines us as Derby County. Oops wrong thread.

Promotion battles are boring when you know half the teams you are fighting are spending tens of millions of pounds that you aren't allowed to spend. We know how that plays out every time - lose to parachute team in playoff semi or playoff final - repeat forever.
At least with a relegation battle we don't know the outcome yet. Really keeps things exciting whilst we are still in with a shot.
With such a small squad we can't even argue about the team selection as all of our players are on the pitch anyway.

It's certainly stripped out a lot of the infighting and vitriol we've seen in most other seasons. The entire future of the club is on the line. Definitely helps people to remember what's important! If we can pull it off, it'll go down as one of the all time great DCFC seasons.

    Is it?
It shouldn't be. But when was the last time you felt this togetherness? When did the lifelong pessimists last become blind optimists? When did the early leavers need to be asked to go home? When did we last stop bickering and all decide we're a big family?
This relegation battle beats the bloody promotion battles!!

So much defines us. On a personal level every Sunday I zoom with my brother in Australia and mum in derby. What do we talk about? You guessed it..the rams. I have lived in Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester and nowhere has the local pride been as strong as in Derby. The small town punching above our weight? That’s us. The pride, history and tradition? That’s us. Very few things bring a lump to my throat but Jamie T reciting We are Derby before the match has me in bits. The history, the pain, the infrequent success that defines us but most of all the togetherness of this season shows the world what we are. I love you Derby.

I think that it is time for a new Derby Way!
We've always sung, "Come on Derby, Come on Derby," which I've always found underwhelming, and a bit like saying, "Please try a little harder, if you don't mind?"
I hope that we permanently replace, "Come on Derby," with, "We'll fight 'til the end!"
