One thing that is concerning me a lot at the moment is the mindset. Some of Warne’s comments post-match are making it sound like they don’t think they’re good enough for this league. This underdog mentality.
Last week he compared Middlesbrough to Real Madrid. This week he called us a “League One team that’s gone up.”
We’re not, Paul. We’re a Championship team. I don’t think Oxford and Pompey have gone into this season with that attitude. They’re competing, scoring goals. Taking the game to the opposition, not sitting back and trying to defend for 90 minutes (and failing to).

I can at least agree with you on that.
But in my opinion, if we play like we are currently playing under Warne, we won't survive.

He delivered promotion as was expected. Why was it expected? Because that league was full of absolute dross last season and our squad was easily one of the best in it. 
And a serious question: do you think we played well last season? Did you go into this season thinking "yep more of the same please, that'll be enough to keep us up"? I bet you didn't.
We cannot play like we did last season and expect to stay up. We can't play like we have in the last three games and expect to stay up.
Warne has been around for 100+ games - he's not finding his feet anymore. This is his system, his signings, his responsibility. 

On those two particular points yes I am referring to the the last three league games.
Regarding my overall opinion of Warne and whether or not he's the right manager for us, that's based on his whole time here.
I think there are some posters, myself included, who criticise Warne and the immediate response is "ffs we're 3 games in."
Whereas I think in reality the majority of posters who aren't all that keen on Warne actually didn't like what they were seeing for large chunks of last season and across the 100+ games.
One other point: it used to really irritate me when people would say that we are just Rotherham 2.0. I thought it was unfair to compare the two clubs for loads of reasons.
But so far Warne's time has included us winning ugly in League One and going up 2nd, and then getting into the Championship and (so far) just seeming to play ultra-defensive underdog football and treating the opposition (Boro and Watford) like they're Real Madrid and Barca. 
I'm starting to see why people made that comparison now. I can imagine that's how it felt playing against those teams when you're Rotherham.

You’ve made a lot of assumptions about what I think there, but I’m not going to argue them all with you. The only one that irritates me is the “we’re three games in” bit.

My honest answer would be any system that doesn’t leave the centre of midfield so open, especially if the game plan is to try and defend the game out and hit the opposition on the break.
Pack the centre with two defensive midfielders if that’s how you want to play. Or go back to 3 at the back with two battling centre mids. At the moment we’re playing this weird 4-3-3 where the left and right sided midfielder keeps drifting out wide leaving one on their own in the middle. 

I understand what you’re frustrated about. I’m frustrated we haven’t brought in the numbers of players that were being talked about, too. 
But we’ve signed the best goalie in Scandinavia. Ozoh on loan. Kenzo. Yates. Jackson. Osborn. Ebou!!!
Saying we have ballsed up this window is silly. Your fair points lose credibility when you say stuff like this.

Some positives to take:
- We handed one of the promotion favorites Boro their only defeat of the season so far.
- Our only defeats have come against 2nd and 3rd in the table, both away from home.
- We have been competitive and certainly haven’t been outclassed.
- We will strengthen before deadline day

Really surprised by that. I hope he gets asked about it in the post-match interview.
Also frustrated to see this 4-3-3 again. Players in this side are nowhere near technically good enough to play in this sort of shape and it’s going to mean Watford will have lots of opportunities to pass through us.
