Wolfie20 got a reaction from Kathcairns in Paul Warne
Are you the guy who said he 'hated' Warne yet have never met him? Your posting history makes it look as though you're on the forum just to have a go at the manager - if so that's sad when there's so many positives going on at our Club.

What’s stranger is for you to pick up on Warne’s asking the fans to back the team and enjoy the ride of the next 9 games as a pre-cursor to failure.
We’re second (outright now without the caveat of games in hand others were keen to point out before), have as many wins as Pompey, have the best goal difference in the league on account of having the joint second best goals conceded and fourth best goals for, have players seemingly in form, have players coming back from injury to strengthen the squad for the run in, have just won two games on the bounce 3-0 following a mini slump, and you’re picking on how things are worded in press conferences?!

My daughter has put her foot down and made an impassioned case for us to make the 200 mile round trip on a school night. We'll be there, COYR!

Cheers for this. So not the inflammatory take original suggested by another poster. Figured as much.

Can you provide any context for this? In the ramstv interview I watched earlier Warne said he’s a good option in the squad who he needs to give more game time to with the caveat that NML and Barkhuizen are in good form (which is hard to argue with).

And you're just as guilty by bumping the post which offends so much right to the top of queue again.
Let it go.

I am doing very well thanks.
Two weeks from getting married, two and a half weeks from a Caribbean honeymoon, and hopefully six to seven weeks from a Derby promotion!
You, on the other hand, seem a little flustered?

No, Port Vale are the worst team we've played all season. Good win today, Warne at his best. I still stand by my criticisms.

Wolfie20 reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Bristol R’vrs v Derby County: Ratings
What makes CBT a 4 compared to the other subs? He came on in the 92nd minute same as Thompson, what marks CBT down in those few mins that didn’t affect Thompson? Is he your new scapegoat?

Wolfie20 reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Sibley too good!
Warne isn’t the only manager not to utilise Sibley consistently in what many of us see as his “preferred” position, he is however one of the only managers who has used Sibley consistently in general. He plays, he gets minutes, some from the start and some from the bench. He’s clearly had some support from the coaching staff to learn a new position and improve his defensive game. So credit to Sibley AND Warne for that, his “utility” role within the squad is proving useful even if it means he’s not playing where he and/or we would prefer.
I suspect almost all Derby fans would love Sibley to realise that potential and become our new iconic attacking midfielder, for now I’m gonna concentrate on praising him for doing well in an adapted role and continuing to improve his all round game. As you say, he’s young, still plenty of time for him in his career…ideally with a ram on his chest.

From what I’m told, Clowes absolutely loves Warne and wouldn’t sack him within the term of his contract, no matter what happens. HOWEVER… he’s about the only one at the club who feels that way. Many other senior figures lost faith in him long ago. In fact, I was told the other day that Warne is likely to resign at the end of this season irrespective of promotion, such is the strain of those other relationships.

I'd honestly sort of hoped this had already happened. We're in a really solid position for the run-in and it's been nice to see that the last couple of months the home atmosphere and support seems way better. I think this is because the majority of those on the fence have decided to just get behind the team and see where we end up, which is spot on.
I think it's mainly just a small bunch of pessimistic posters online creating a bit of an echo chamber now. They post and catastrophise when we lose and often don't comment much until that's the case again. It's a strange mentality and one I don't quite understand, but I actually think it's more of a gaggle than a brigade at the moment. But it's nice to report that from what I've seen recently, most are backing the lads and hoping for the best 🤞

I don’t remember anyone saying it doesn’t matter. We were second, we are third, we could be fourth, we could be back to second 🤷🏻♂️

Two things I’ve learned today:
1) It seems we can’t “trust” the number of goals a team score/concedes or the number of points a team accumulates. Maybe final league tables should be determined by XG
2) if you produce enough fancy looking graphs you’ll probably impress someone (probably just yourself though) 😀
