Justice for Fernando! He's been given his P7 back.
Sensible decision to reverse it. The error was race control, and whilst I understand Haas's grievance given the black and orange flag was on speed dial whenever their drivers hot something,it wasn't right to punish Alpine/Alonso for not following an instruction they weren't given.

They need the money to do it through.
Hate em or not, you've got to admire the balls on Karen and Marko to say to Porsche "no, you give us money and we run the racing team how we want or it's no deal"
I'm not massively "excited " for the "Audi brand" to be in F1. Audi in sports cars and endurance racing have a pedigree that's unmatched. But in terms of the Sauber buy out, they've been BMW before and once Audi lose interest they'll go back to being Sauber.
Hopefully, they just build a decent engine program and give Sauber the budget to be a successful racing team - Sauber are a thoroughbred racing team but working with tight budgets has hampered them no end. If they get all VW Group Corporate about the whole thing it'll end up being like the Toyota F1 team was.
In terms of the Mexico grand Prix, well, on the one hand I'd like Checo to win it because it's be nice, but on the other hand, Max giving him a pity win would suck.
But really, the only interest left in the season is Alpine Vs McLaren (or "Lando Norris" as they're known now), Sauber Vs Daddy Stroll and Haas Vs Alpha Tauri for constructors position (and the cash that comes with it).

Yeah, have a Thule 2 bike carrier but changed to a newer CMax so need to get a towbar fitted to that. Will check the box for stats.
Also, camping, we managed to put the 2 bikes inside the car along with all the camping equipment, bit of a squeeze but it worked!
As for Annecy, the bike path that goes round is mostly flat apart from a small bit on the eastern side.
We stayed here, https://www.campinglesolitaire.com/ and would thoroughly recommend it, direct access to the lake which is quite warm.
As always, depends on the pitch you get, ours had a view over a field that sometimes had cows with their bells on, like the Swiss.
And you can get to Geneva and Mont Blanc/Chamonix pretty easily, should you so wish.
As for Alsace, we went there in 2019, a little village near Colmar called Eguisheim. Small site but again, very nice and another beautiful part of France. Might check out some parts of Germany next, have only done Heidelberg (Hirschhorn) so far.

Thule Euro summat-or-other bought in 2014, so some spec is from memory (So marked with a * below).  (2 bikes.  c/w tilting platform, for tailgate access)  I've already struggled to confirm precisely what model I've got, and remind me of it's definitive spec... so I'm winging it!?
70 plate Ford Galaxy heavy 7 seater... with absolutely no room for kids or dogs... but chockerblock with camping equipment... oh and a roof box... ditto! ?

    Bikes (without batteries/pannier bags etc) weigh 24.7kg x 2 = 49.4kg
    *Cycle carrier itself weighs 18kg
Total weight on tow ball = c. 68kg
    Tow ball limit = 90kg = ?
*Bike Carrier limit = 31kg per single bike, or max 55kg in total, so only just a ? (by 5kg?)

Lake Annecy is very high on our bucket list... thus far delayed until we "get electric bikes in a few years time, due to the surrounding hills".  Sane goes for Alsace).
That delay may well now end a few (3 or 4?) years sooner than we thought!  ??

Been considering them things for a couple of years, mainly because abroad they all seem to have them.
I've got past the 'it's cheating' stage but the expense has put me off, that and being able to put them on a bike carrier for transportation, the weight must make you do wheelies in the car?
We had no problems riding 30km on normal bikes round Lake Annecy this year so definitely going to take my time on getting one.

Tempting though, especially as we walk up hills, too much effort to cycle them.

I don't think people mention this enough when they say Verstappen moans all the time. Everyone moans, there isn't really a single driver that doesn't moan on the radio. Lewis has had plenty of tantrums over the years, they all have.

I like Lando, funny guy and seriously talented, definitely in the top tier of the current F1 crop.
I think I'll switch to Team L4ndo when Alonso retires, who is still the GOAT imho.

As I said in one of my posts, I reserve the right to be cynical about all things F1. Gaming the regs is part of the sport.
I'd guess the RBR accounts have lots of Red Bull paid RBR a Fukton of money to appear at this red bull event and RBR paid Red Bull Technology a surprisingly small amount for this piece of research, but, on the other hand, factory teams are probably benefiting from "knowledge share" from their automotive overlords.
I doubt we'll ever see the details - just an announcement of the sanctions (if any) and brief statement.

Need to wait for the report, if we ever get it.
It's the first year and there have been 3 procedural issues already so clearly some submission elements are open to interpretation and clarification.
I note the rabid fanboiism on here with some posters.

I wonder, if the breach was Mercs, how different some of these posts would be. A lot I would think, and far more forgiving.

There was a fairly long period when Merc seemed to get their own way a lot, the FIA have always been prone to it.

I was spoofing the very reductive twitter wars between LH and Max fans.
The reactions of Mercedes and Ferrari do seem to suggest they were trying harder to be compliant.
And for the record, I absolutly love Lewis Hamilton, from his raw brilliance at the start of career, through the switch to mercedes, through to becoming an all time great.

And so it transpires that the claims made by Binotto and Wolff were not such heinous defamations after all. Well colour me shocked! I assume that the extra five days were afforded to Red Bull & AM to allow them to do their prep again and this time submit documents that would not incur a point deduction or worse.
So.... Effectively, Red Bull, a team awash with money, have breached the budget cap and in doing so secured not one, but two RWCs. They will likely now have to pay a paltry fine and another whitewash is completed. I'm sure they feel suitably chastened! ?

Born in Ilford, moved to Waterlooville when 2 then to Luton from 6 -10.
At Luton became aware of football and started supporting Derby, not really sure why but the school was call Ramridge. This would have been 1976 because the first match I recall was the the FA Cup semi.
Moved to Southampton (10-18, watched a lot of games at The Dell) then Bognor Regis, then Worthing (watched a lot of games at the Goldstone) and finally, at the age of 51 I moved to Derby, hurrah!!

I’m massively impressed by how he spoke during the presser, sounds likeable, relatable, open and honest. Spoke in realistic and pragmatic terms about the club, the squad and the league, especially pleased to hear him address some of the public concerns raised around playing style (“when you have footballers you play football, athletes you play to their strengths, we’ve got footballers who will soon realise how good they are as athletes too” a bit paraphrased there ?) and his post match comments when we stayed up (it was an emotional moment for him as his mate was relegated).
I also admire his honesty about the Rosenior situation, more realism in that he acknowledged LR’s good work and talent but that it would have been unworkable for him to stay on the staff.
Most impressive for me though, was the conviction with which he spoke, he knows himself well, knows his team of staff and believes in what he has to say. There were times when LR spoke and said the right things, being so likeable I wanted to believe him, but the conviction was missing in his voice. Warne has that conviction which will hopefully help him succeed with the Rams. Interesting times ?
