ColonelBlimp reacted to Rev in Keogh Sacked
I've just been on ForumAdvisor.com, where this place has a 5* rating and holds a current Certificate of Excellence, here are some sample reviews.
"In many ways I created a monster, but occasionally certain sites glimpse at the brighter future I envisioned, of which DCFCFans.uk is one".
Sir Tim Berners Lee, everywhere.
"I'll admit it's weird to be a member of our fiercest rivals No.1 forum, but over time their kindness and warm welcome has won me over, to the extent I'm secretly willing the team on most games".
Red Dawn, Nottingham.
"I told Boris (Britain Trump, btw), that I'd only countenance a trade deal if DCFCFans.uk was part of the deal, forget the NHS and Chlorinated Chicken, I want the biggly prize, I can't wait to grab David by the pussy"!
Donald Trump, POTUS.

Long overdue. What strikes me is the arrogance of Keogh in assuming that he is entitled to £1.62m over the 15 months he is likely to be out injured for (worked out at £25k per week)
He was employed on those terms purely as a professional footballer. Due to his own idiotic actions, he is unable to fulfil his contract to be a professional footballer. What did he think he was going to be doing of benefit to the club during those 15 months? Be an ambassador for the club? Be an example to the young players? The club have offered to still pay him & to aid his rehabilitation - he should count himself lucky on both scores but clearly lacks the humility to even be grateful for that.
I do understand the argument that the treatment of Lawrence & Bennett seems very lenient in comparison. The differentiation though is that a) there would be a higher standard of behaviour expected from an experienced player and a club captain and the obvious one that b) Keogh is unable to play for the foreseeable future whilst the other two can.

That's not how I see it...
Two can still do the job they get paid handsomely to do..
One can't. So we have ended his contract.
Seems fair enough to me.

Totally agree with the club on this one.
The club should not have to fund his rehabilitation, Keogh should.
If he's refused to do so then he has to go.
He could still have had a decent income and the best medical facilities available but he chose not to.
Dumbass.

Seriously? If he was on 25k and they cut it to 10k, which is a massive reduction, that is still what i would class as a decent income, wouldn't you?
Clearly im guessing at 10k but doubt its a million miles off.

Fact is that he cannot fulfil his contractual duty of playing football for DCFC due to being an absolute dick.
He therefore has effectively terminated his own contract.

Met a beautiful girl down at the park today. Sparks flew, she fell at my
feet and we ended up having sex there and then. God, I love my new Taser!

You have to be careful today when telling jokes as it seems easy to offend people and some obviously don't have a sense of humour or it touches a nerve....for example I was in a pub once and told the joke about " what do you do if you see an epileptic in the bath ? chuck your washing in !!"
When this giant of a man approached me at the bar and said " oi thats not funny and i find it quite distasteful as I had a brother who was an epileptic and he died whilst in the bath ! "
I apologised instantly and said i was sorry and didn't know about his brother and wouldn't be telling that joke again then asked
" I take it he drowned ?"
The man then said " No he choked on a sock !! "

this was good! After I'd spent 10 minutes working out what they were saying.

Agreed. Watched this the other day and Jackie Chan/Pierce Brosnan are excellent in this film, it's an 8/10 from me as well.

The Foreigner starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. Brutal, gritty and very well acted. Yes, there are martial art scenes from Mr Chan but not 'over done' as in some of his films. Great supporting cast led by Pierce Brosnan. This is worth a look. 8/10.

Imagine him and Paul Gascoigne in the same midfield eh? Parents would name their kids after these legends surely?

Personally I can't wait for Battlefield 1, I adored BF1942 and although I like BF4 I much prefer a traditional setting without all the airstrikes/laser guided/modern-from-a-distance stuff.
If it was my choice I would like 1942 updated, that would be immense. Imagine Stalingrad or Berlin with destructible environments.
Anyway, we're slap bang in the middle of remembering the slaughter of 100 years ago so seems appropriate to me.
In other games, anyone get the Japanese DLC for Assetto Corsa? That MX-5 Cup is so much fun!
