  1. Decent enough player, but with 1 year on his contract if someone offers 2/3 million I don’t think we can turn it down.

We’d need 2 bodies in midfield if he was to go

Or come out and make a statement and have him signing a new contract. And get 1 extra body

I was so pleased when he left. Hated the points squandered by his poor finishing. At the death he had one good game for us, but for me it's not enough. Nowhere near. I don't get the calls to bring failed players back so they can fail for us again. I'd hope we could find someone better.

What a way to live your life. What a miserable outlook

I agree in possession. It’s out of possession that I worry. Smith is glacial across the turf.

I think this is going to be a problem in general all season.

The 3 of Smtih Hourihane and Bird looks great to me, at home when you are dominating possession.

Its when we go away and need someone to a) put in a tackle and b) control the tempo a bit.

Its something we’ve been missing for years, barring the odd game Bielik wasn’t broken.

You sum it up qell for me.

I've come round to the prospect of us getting him back, but he can't be the only one. It would make Clowes claims about budgets seem bizarre.

I do get where you are coming from, but I think its more the quality we can get for that budget.

I think Warne mentioned it recently, that the value in a free or loan is far greater than paying any inflated fee for a player likely to get a similar output.

Lets not forget, although not super prolific, Waghorn has been operating pretty consistently in a division higher than the one we are in for most of his career. And he was once a £5mil player 😉

I fear from this still on the video the turquoise of the sponsor will ruin this! So will have their full colour yellow and green logo.

Has the potential to be a classic, but hope I'm wrong on the sponsor killing it!

Have a quick look up how many goals Plymouth’s strikers got last year as a prime example of why there’s more than one way to do it.

Agree on this, 20 goal a season man will be nice of course. But we need more goals from all over the pitch.

Attacking midfielders need to be chipping in close to double figures for goals and Plymouth is a great example of that.

And Warne bangs on about it enough, but we need more from defenders on set pieces as well. If Cashin can get 4/5 goals in a season imagine how many more points we'd get.

Plymouth scored 15 more goals than us, but their top scorer had 9 less. Shows how much is was spread around!

Surely someone with Jason Knights quality, RB/RWB or midfield should be scoring more than 2 in a season

White will be miffed if he’s dropped straight away for Bird id expect.

Can’t see a positive about Chester being available again. We have Stearman.

Do you think if Chester is back fit, Stearman will play ahead of him?

If Chester is back fit he will be on the bench ahead of Curtis. Harsh but he will be.

Seems so strange to think or even say ‘we have stearman’

edit to say I love the Steargoat and appreciate all he’s done for us. And that goes without saying for captain Curt too. But Chester will be above them imo if he stays fit

This is awful. Looks like we’ve never watched them play. Far too slow on the ball, telegraphing everything. Cashin barely found a white shirt but he’s not the only one. Truly horrendous performance. Not sure there’s enough subs to take off Roberts, Dobbin, Hourihane, Collins etc

    Rightly booed off.

You do know the boos were for the blatant offside and officiating? Your normal cheery self

I've been pleased to hear Warne talking about getting his best players in the starting 11. I think we've seen this season he thinks Fozzy is better than Roberts and Sibley is better than Rooney and Davies is better than Rooney, so if Sibley's fit I think this will be it. And it will give a whole new attacking dimension to our midfield with both Knight and Sibley able to carry the ball forward at pace through the middle and NML and Barks on the wings. Terrifying if you have to defend against it.

And absolutely delightful when you break the lines and are running at a back tracking back 4 with no midfield in sight.

Glad Warne is our manager and not you ?

To be fair, Collins has scored 7 in 20 in the league so far.

If you were to extrapolate that over 46 games, it doesn't put him far off 20 goals.

Prolific! Not sure what people expect, i'm glad Warne can see what he brings though!

Anything up towards 15 goals will be great, added to Didzy's - it's exactly what we need

The word is that Sheffield United are arranging a loan with another club. In other words they were not happy that he was getting virtually no game time.

Me too. His best role is as the Number 9, but that role is almost permanently occupied by Warne’s love child. Collins works tremendously hard, and does well linking play together, but doesn’t really do much of the target man job, and is often not in the middle when crosses come in. All Isula has been given is a few minutes here and there stuck out on the wing to prove his worth as a number 9.

At least Derby don’t do that with any of our other players, is it? …………. Oh wait …….

I wish him well, and will not be surprised if he progresses well at a club who play to his strengths.

Here’s hoping we are lining up another striker because there’s a place on the bench that needs filling.

'Warne's love child' has scored some very important goals this season and will score more important goals if we are to achieve what we want to achieve. He's won us points, sets the tone in most games for the intensity and winning the ball up the pitch.

He isn't a 20 odd goal a season man, if he was he'd be playing at the top end of the Championship. We are in League 1.

Such a weird place this forum, when someone questions someone who has gone unbeaten for 15 games not to mention his success at getting out this league with no budget time and time again.
