Seems a sensible deal! Could be an Ebiowei type affair where he breaks into the first team or could be a Duncan where he slips off the face of the earth. I would imagine it won't cost us much in the grand scheme

The more I think about it the more I think Warne will go for Ladapo as one of our strikers
Slightly over the age of what hw wants maybe but definitely a player who could get 15+ goals next season
I’d rather we sign 3-4 players who are going to score than just one
If we signed Ladapo May and two other goal scorers who can get double figures …with Collins I think our whole team would look much better
I like Ladapo, would be very happy with a move for him if the price was right.
Ladapo, May + 2 whilst having Collins might be a bit of a stretch though! Sounds like Warnock's squads where he used to collect about 8 strikers at every club he was at (with some success to be fair)

Arsenal spending £170m on two players who haven’t improved their best XI.
Crazy.
I’m not that up to date but with July and pre-season approaching, I haven’t seen Luton sign anyone of note yet.
They're certainly being cautious, I guess kind of understandable given where they've come from over the last decade. Rumours are that Nakamba that was on loan to them from Villa last year, they're now struggling or not willing to meet his wages as a permanent signing.
Only the one in I think, Ogbene, a sensible addition for their squad but hardly a wow signing.
Interested to see what happens with them

di'shon bernard Would be perfect for us to be honest
Good age, physique (ooo err) and seems to have been highly regarded at Pompey last year. Hopefully they don't snap him back up

In the northern Ireland manager's chat about him he mentions workrate quite a lot and that he's an ideal forward for leading the press from the front. Sounds like something Warne would appreciate. Can't help thinking of Shane Long from what I've heard/seen and I'd be very happy if we got him and he had anything like that type of career!! Maybe worth a gamble at 300k

Correct use of twitter from a football club.
Eeek their fans did not take kindly to it did they? Reposnses from cafc fans seems to embarrassing, waste of time and why aren't we signing any players
I thought it was pretty funny to be fair 😂

He actually showed some promise at wing back last season, still very raw but would be happy to take him on as a developmental player - like you said, similar to Rooney.
I thought same with this guy. Think he can play either side and would give a different option to the new signings perhaps.
In the articles about him leaving, west ham have also let go Odubeko who's a striker I think. Not a great record out on loan but worth a trial look maybe to see if there's something to work with. Could just end up another Hector-Ingram where it doesn't quite happen in the end. JHI at Hastings apparently now wiki says

Thought I'd share this, only an opinion piece/suggestion from FLW, Mendes-Gomes who was on loan from Luton at Fleetwood last year possibly available. Scored against us in a game that we've probably all tried to blank from our memories. Not sure where he'd fit if we were going with wingbacks next year but seems a good player

So who are the main right backs that have been mentioned? From the press Clare, Dabo & Fisher? From fans Key, Ward & Wilson?
Wonder if it's any of them or someone completely new whose name hasn't even cropped up yet
-
O'Connell and Stevens, both let go from Sheffield United, are excellent players adept in wing back system. They'll probably get championship offers unfortunately

Massive respect to any player that is willing to drop a level to play for a team close to their heart, in my eyes.
He was great to watch last season and I hope he has a successful year at Notts.
Nothing "embarrassing" in my opinion

Dusan Svento was the winger I believe, it's odd the things that stick in the back of your head somewhere. Around that time as a teenager I used to follow the old BBC 606 forum and that was one of the main transfer stories over that "exciting" summer post-Wembley. Jones, Nugent and Koumas were the other names I remember being touted around a lot

A story about the Ipswich retained list popped up on my social media and looking at the comments, quite a few of their fans seemed disappointed to see Kane Vincent-Young let go. 27, fullback/wingback who can play either side.
They did seem to suggest he would be a really good signing for a league one side. Can't say I know anything about him or his play myself

The tragic thing is that we actually paid a fee for him if I remember rightly. Our business that year really was phenomenally bad.

Pleased with our first half tonight. I was fearful when I saw the line up with a lack of pace/width but thought the team looked decent. Second half my biggest frustration was the lack or change when we were clearly struggling and under the cosh. Thimpson was dying and by 65 we were struggling to string any passes together. I felt like the use of subs was a slightly poor. At that point thought there was a case for Tomo off with dobbin on to change to
Hourihane bird
Mcgoldrick
Collins (or even osula) dobbin
Scare them out of their high press with some pace up top and let mcgoldrick take on the job of keeping possession for us. Thought if we showed a little more attacking desire 2nd half we could've had them.
Anyway I won't be getting a director of football job, we got a very good point away at a contender and the unbeaten run continues! COYR

Bit of a random one and might not sound that inspiring when put this way, but striker Mandron that left Crewe in the summer could be worth a shot?
Scored 15ish goals in a season in league 1 for Crewe, fairly big and physical. Not the most amazing career so far but as others have said sometimes a player can click and top the scoring charts out of nowhere at this level

C'mon Fozzy, another year would be beautiful. I'd love a few more of those towering back post headers next year. The occasional wild swipe passes and clearances are worth it, for the great moments

I'd probably like to see 2 more wide players in and I'd be very happy for us to take a chance on a national league player for one of them. Isaiah Jones and sorba Thomas were two of the best wide players I saw in the championship last season (along with red dog Johnson I hate to say) and I believe both were snapped up from that level weren't they?
Remember reading there were a couple of Notts County and Chesterfield lads with impressive numbers, wouldn't be against trying someone like that. I have no knowledge of that level to really comment though

Not a bad shirt but to me not as nice as the amended version somebody posted earlier!
Might grow on me like last years did. I was waiting to see this year's before deciding on a purchase but I've just ordered last year's for £18 as I prefer it of the two. First shirt I've ought in quite some time and I do think the lack of sponsor helped swing it for me
