When did we last play Leyton orient? I can’t ever remember playing them

Therein lies part of the problem with this forum at the moment. There are certain (not all and not naming names) anti Warne posters that are so blinkered that they cannot seem to accept that PW isn't always the only one to blame for our woes and anyone that suggest that is labelled a Warne lover.
There maybe members at the other end of the spectrum that can see no wrong in PW but I'm struggling to think of any. 😀
Yeah I noticed this last night, not a fan of warnes and think we probably need a change. Some people seem to now equate every problem with warne and totally absolve the players of any responsibility.
similarly sibley is being turned into Lionel Messi by some, I agree he’s talented but had a lot of chances now and never made himself a guaranteed starter. And I realise people will show me assist stats etc, but from watching games sibley has to do more. He’s not the only one in that regard.

He's 29 and has been a prolific goal scorer over several seasons
I think is an absolute no brainer if is possible. Have several players out of contract at end of season, we can then look past the over 30s who are not great.

The main issue with the loss is the team he put out. I don't think anyone would have minded if we had lost with 2-4 academy lads getting a game.
I think once he’s out a strong team out though the players should have more than enough to beat crewe.

What? He scores goals. He got 10 minutes on Saturday and hit the bar from maybe two passes to him. What the hell is he meant to do? Hoping for the best? We have a manager who doesn't want to play football through the middle. Get it out wide and cross it.
RD saying Bird frustrated another footballer how will be going soon. No surprise.
I pretty much agree with you, but think we have to look at sibley a bit as well. Has had a lot of chances over last few years now. Very rarely takes them.
his best run so far has been at left back.

Two whole games? Wow. He's how old? Younger than Wilson.
I know it’s not enough, but was really poor in both. Warne is under pressure. He can’t keep playing sibley and hoping for the best.
Heard someone Saturday say they don’t think sibley ever had two good games in a row. He’s obviously talented but is a few managers now that are struggling to find how to play him. Is not all on warne.

I thought so, but RD didn't say. I can't see why but Warne can. I expect Warne will be happy to see him leave.
Agree he’s not a wide player at all! Was really disappointing sibley had two games at 10 recently and was pretty anonymous in both.
-
I’m not a huge fan of warne, but do agree with a previous post who said they’d be very surprised if we were set up any different than on Saturday? A couple of changes shouldn’t make this much difference.
I get a good coach should be able to counter things, but I do think we’re letting a lot of players off with some really rank performances.

Is Ward a no.10 if he's replaced Sibley?
Sibley playing wide today.

Just always feels one step forwards two steps back lately!!
not actually too fussed about losing tonight, but just some consistency and putting a run together would really help us.
Now got 10 days until our next game, two games in four days and then another 10 days off. Not sure if this is a positive either.

Mad concept, but maybe our old players who legs have questionably gone anyway can’t really hack the heavy running workload when there’s 2 games every week and a little more rotation would have been sensible.
I don’t think that’s the case, surely we’d at least be able to start the game with energy and then run out?
Think we’re just inconsistent

Isn't this basically our first choice defence and midfield?
2 goals from outside the box from rowe. Who's picking up?
First choice team really, missing nyambe and mendez Laing.

Nyambe and Fornah international call ups.
Mendez-Laing, TJJ, Washington, Rooney and Thompson all either injured or on the comeback trail from injury with this game coming too soon.Is there a timeframe on tjj yet? Looked good in the very brief times he’s played.

Any reason why Nyambe and Fornah aren't in the squad?
International call ups I think! Same with mendez Laing maybe?

I think up to this point it would be more accurate to say that we have given a few formations a go without showing much ability to play any of them.
We appear by a process of elimination to have landed on a starting 4231. But we have them had games in which we have swapped it around more than once. Didn't nyambe play 3 or 4 different roles within one half recently?
Somewhere between the McLaren and Warne extremes will do fine 🤙
They’re all pretty similar formations, Saturday looked more like 433 to me. Hourihane and in the George Thorne role, two ahead of him playing further forward. Then a front three of two wingers and a central striker.
-
Like how he pretty much always tries to run at his man and get the ball in the box. Must be great to play with as a forward, you’d be happy making runs into the box.
Carried us up the pitch a few times at crewe. Like the look of him so far.

Enjoyed today, felt we got better and better as the game went on. No one had a poor game, Collins looked good. Had some nice touches and goals always help. Cashin was excellent and probably our best player.
Felt like we’ve simplified things. A lot of round pegs in round holes, everyone knowing their roles, pressed and attacked well. Defended well.
let’s see if we can go on a decent run!

Yeah so no point in having a membership as I said you plonker
There is a point though as the membership guarantees you a ticket! I have no memebership so have to rely on it making to season ticket sales. Any ground under 2000 seems like no chance. So that’s the point in the membership.

The midfield 3 is still not right I still prefer Bird deeper as he’s good on the ball and protects the back four better than Hourahan and Smith. Im not actually sure what Smith does.
Nor me, was really struggling to see why he played the 90 minutes. Just move bird deeper and get another attacking player on.
-
Didn’t think today was great, full backs offered very little going forward. Much better with wing backs which is unusual.
Still have issues with that midfield three, it’s too one paced, samey and defensive. If bird is the attacking mid he doesn’t get in the box enough. I know he scored two in the week. Just doesn’t look natural attacking. Is a real lack of goals through the team. Which is nothing new.
we just seem to have more questions than answers all the time.

So we chucked the money at Bradley instead? Goals cost money, always have. We could have sold him on if he'd scored us to promotion.
Yeah I’m happy to worry about players being good enough for the championship when we get promoted!!
currently we have a fair number not pulling any trees up in league one
-
Have been really underwhelmed with him personally, however by all accounts was excellent last night! Am all for it.
Was a very well taken goal.

What happened to rushden and diamonds? Seem to disappear as quickly as they rose.
Am I right in thinking the 92 is impossible with derby currently, we’ve not played Sutton, barrow or Harrogate have we? Barrow we did at home in the league cup but not away.
