Whilst I don't take tonight seriously and don't think anything should be read into it...
...I reserve the right to read a thousand things into tonight's performance and include them in any possible criticism of Paul Warne, should we have any poor performances and results in the next 10 games and/or find ourselves in a position any more than 6 points off the top two.

I thought it was s*** from us but actually got quite a lot for my money.
Nice goal - first senior career goal at that - terrible goal, end to end football (although I'd prefer at least some bloody control!) , big chances missed, comedy penalties....

You can see who's begrudged giving David Clowes a tenner towards our running costs by the responses on here.
I make no judgement, I'd probably have found a buy and keep movie on Sky store that would've been better value too.

He impressed today. Movement was good when we looked for him. Should’ve really scored the one early too. Had a small understanding building with Bart I felt too. Feel Bart just needs a goal… he did enough for at least one today, he played pretty well overall. 

Nobody should read very much into that tbf.
We took the competition more seriously under Rosenior as shown by the team selection / subs, but Rosenior knew lots about most of his players so didn't need to use it as a learning experience filled with youth players, whereas Warne does and did, and he will have learnt quite a lot!
Ironically it's the senior pros who let us down in the shootout.
As I said earlier we'll never see that team playing in the league, and hopefully in the coming games in this competition we won't feel the need to make so many changes.
It is a concern that there will be times where our desire for fast football will result in us having as little control as we did today but again, that's something we'll only really learn from league games - we didn't see it against Cambridge.

Big chance for Cybulski, lots of good attributes to his play, it'll be a good test to see whether he's more physically prepared now.
No "Collo" at all seems odd, especially with Osula out and no striker on the bench. After Saturday I'd have thought he'd be given another run out to further prove those who wrote him off after his first 9 games wrong.

Perhaps you should listen to the whole interview? That was a small snippet that I found interesting - afterall there was a common denominator in that time span.

You could say that Barkhuizen and NML aren't wing backs and are being played out of position. Against a team who attack us down the wings will they be good enough defensively? NML has shown himself to be dangerous when given the ball in the box, is his new role going to get the best out of him?
Bird's rejuvenation... again it's one game. Has he never had a good game going forward before, never got an assist or a goal? There was that cracker in the cup this season, albeit against weak opposition. 
I think people just need to hold their horses a bit.
Going all-in on the praise after a single game, setting your stall out so early is never a great idea when assessing a new manager but it already feels like there's a bit of a 'Cult of Warne' going on.

Literally nobody has done that.
I think you'd struggle to find more than a handful of people who aren't now happy with Warne being appointed, don't agree with the logic or aren't supportive of what he wants to do, and that'd likely only be via an anonymous poll.

They came here because they wanted to play for Wayne Rooney.
Everything positive with the club on and off the pitch in the past 18 months was because of Rooney. Anything negative on the pitch was because Rosenior.
With him gone, anything positive on the pitch now is because of something Warne has done, putting right the bad work of Rosenior.
At least that's what the flies-around-s*** nature of some posters would have you believe.

I'm not sure he's bothered or and/or has that much class about him tbh, if the way he acted when playing for Man City's U23s against us is anything to go by.

I was disappointed that LR was not given the job on a permanent basis, and in the context of the club, he wasn’t doing a bad job at all really. However, we move on with Warne and I hope he does equally well or better (although given the short time he was in charge we’ll never know what he might’ve achieved).
Obviously great to win his first game in charge; great to get our first away goals and win this season. But some of the stuff coming out both before and after the game was a bit cringe worthy wasn’t it? It’s one game. I also agree that it’s not really fair to suggest he’s come in and turned something around (he even said as much himself).  So, in that regard, I think there has been a bit of a naff narrative.  

Perhaps we should see where we are in another 10 games before deciding Warne is the ‘messiah’ himself, though (that seems to be the threshold).
