Firstly,it's always  funny to see Boro lose.
Secondly, are Boro really such a dull nothing of a club that the best symbol their social media team can think to use to represent them is a red circle?
Thirdly, I know Watford are occasionally called The Hornets, but the emoji's clearly a bee, not a wasp, so when they say #UTB it looks more like they're saying "Up The Bees" than "Up The Boro" and as such it seems to be celebrating their own team slipping to a late defeat!

Good. The absolute shysters may not have been responsible for the crash itself, but they put pressure on his agent to get him back from France, and the transfer was legitimate. I hope Nantes eventually get all the money they're due.

The key to Knight's goal was taking the corner before opposition were completely set and before they'd had chance to set all of their markers up. Same delivery even 3 seconds later and it's not a goal.
What I can't remember ever being explained are those situations from goal kicks where every single player but one runs to one side of pitch, but he's left in acres of space where one relatively simple pass would put him one on one. with the keeper and no covering defenders. The ball always gets punted high and to the player on the crowded side though.

Absolutely this with not allowing the opposition to be completely set. We don't often do things quickly. Plus Sibley made the run to Hourihane for the pretend short corner, which took out one of the men defending the front post who had to follow him, meaning there was a much clearer route through to Knight for the header.

Wildsmith - 5.5, can't really excuse that pass, lucky Marriott can't shoot from more than 8 yards.
Knight - 9 for obvious reasons
Forsyth - 6, provided height and width but put in a number of poor crosses. Right sub and it worked tactically, just one of his off days in crossing.
Roberts - 6, don't think he did anything wrong really and subbed for tactical reasons.
Korey Smith - 7.5, Have we got another Smith? Does he have a secret first name only EllaFella knows? Much needed forward progression and positionally very good. Would play him instead of Bird next time out.
Cashin - 6.5, cleared one off the line, but one uncharacteristically terrible pass put us in trouble. On balance just above average
Stearman - 6, lost the header requiring Cashin to clear off the line. Sleeping a little for their goal, but not helped by whoever was filling in at LB. Some decent passing though, somewhat surprisingly.
Dobbin - 6.5. Struggled for impact until it mattered, but that alone gets him an extra half mark. Works hard, doesn't hide.
McGoldrick - 8, thought he tried to do too much knocking it round a player and running into it the first time he tried it, attempting too hard to impress, perhaps. Then he did it again, perfectly, then he scored. Not sure Collins would have taken up that position?
Sibley - 7.5, constant threat, didn't disappear, getting back to himself I feel.
Hourihane - 6, as ever some fantastic passes  and the assist overshadow a generally not-so-geat performance, just not really in the game in general play and probably would struggle in the Championship now.
Side note... our equaliser came because he took the corner early enough that the opposition weren't fully set. I called for a quick one, he delivered a quick one, we scored
Bird ? - 5.5, barely there, I don't understand why he couldn't do what Smith did, or rather why he didn't, because he can, but he doesn't. He's a.quandry.
Collins - 5.5, just doesn't seem on the same wavelength as others no matter how hard he works.
Barkhuizen - 7, good work especially shown by the highlights, shooting issues stil him scoring any higher but overall a very good game.

I'm aware that sounds contradictory. Some context to my 'hilarious' view on football... I used to follow top flight football avidly, whether Derby were in it or not. Now I detest what the Premier League, parachute teams etc. stand for. Money has destroyed the game, players feel so far removed from the fans and the sense of entitlement some fans have as a result, I find infuriating... blah blah blah nostalgia for the good old days blah blah blah.
Doesn't mean that I wouldn't follow Derby if we were in the Premier League. I would feel less connected if we 'bought' our way there, as seemed the strategy under Mel. It would feel better to me and I would be happier to be there if we built the club in a sustainable way from this point upwards.
I like the approach we have at the moment and I think a lot of people do but *arrogance alert* we have potential beyond League 1 and therefore, I think we would be under performing if we were in this league for too long. And just seeing how some of our fans have reacted to a couple of 0-0 away from home, I fear things could get toxic and difficult to enjoy quite quickly.
Therefore, in explicitly answering the OP's question... I'm enjoying League 1 and the way the club is rebuilding but I would like the club to realise it's potential and challenge at the highest level. I would love it if we could get there going about it in a sustainable and 'positive' way (my utopian opinion of course).
I don't think there's a massive contradiction in that view point but perhaps I didn't articulate myself that well.

When I said idiot, Justin Trudeau had popped into my mind and him correcting someone for saying mankind as he preferred peoplekind.
The difference between woke idiots and everyone else is that most people don't mind whether you say mankind or peoplekind - we might find peoplekind a bit cringeworthy, but you get to say what you want.
As the twitter clip describes in a far better way than a quick sentence from me here does, the increasingly authoritarian woke mob demand you change your language to suit their beliefs, with any transgressions met with bullying and/or your attempted cancellation.

Or maybe he just used a common phrase that virtually everyone knew what he was on about.
On a similar note, my contribution to this thread is people trying to tell me what to think and what I'm allowed to say (or not say).  I appreciate that their opinions and beliefs might be different to mine - but they are different, not better.
If I come out with a traditional phrase such as 'its a mans game' when clearly talking about not shirking tackles etc I will continue to do so.
As for 'dying on that hill', I cancelled my Sky and TV licence a year ago ?

I intensely dislike what football has become, starting with the Premier League and filtering down into the Championship and lower leagues. I've loved watching the women's game this season, it's just so much more enjoyable to watch and connect with the players.
For that reason I've been really enjoying League 1 too. Feels more authentic and wholesome somehow. I go into games genuinely excited, looking at the form, the opposition and our chances. It's a refreshing change.
It's also nice to be part of a rebuild and a refreshing culture to the way the club is run. After Mac1, I fell out of love with football because the club lost its identity and simply threw money at success, bought a load of disconnected players and the was something unlikeable and fake about most of Mel's tenure.
So far it's been great but I think that enthusiasm and energy will dissipate if we are here for more than a couple of seasons. Of course you want your team to be successful at the highest level possible and Derby have the infrastructure, history etc. to compete against the likes of Liverpool and Man City, win a cup etc. I firmly believe that, but if League 1 is where we have to start that journey and lay the foundations, then I'm all for it and I'm enjoying the ride!

I take very little interest in the PL these days. Haven't got a Sky or other subscription (cancelled that a few years ago because I rarely watched games) and didn't even watch many MOTD or MOTD2 last season. I'd like to see Derby back there some day, but it's pointless me (or any other fan, other than DC) having that as an aspiration, because there is no way that we can make it happen. In the meantime, I can get plenty of enjoyment watching DCFC play in whatever competition they are in and leave the dreaming to others.

Can't say there was anything about his overall play which stood out while he was here (not a hold up man, not particularly good in the air, not particularly strong, not really ' clever' with the ball, no pace), but clearly knows where to be to score goals!

After watching this several times, my conclusion is that Barks has genuinely gone down due to
Thompson putting his boot flat on the ground in front of his right foot leaving Barks with no way
to move it forward, hence the immediate fall  -  a foul
