  1. Rare trip home for this one - thought centre backs were excellent, two great finishes, easily the better team - as is so often the case in this league.

great numbers from Lincoln fans on a Thursday night for their cup final. Thought we were quiet, but I was in the West Stand so it might have been that !

Ward’s crossing in the first half (particularly his corners) is a real strength despite his moment of madness in defence. Just not quite sure where he fits in defensively.  Nyambe was a great signing and want him back.

great to see Thompson back on the pitch. Hope he can play a significant part second half of the season.

Bizarre match as we had match on tv but had no sound which was about 30 secs behind on my laptop. But another 3-0 was nice. Hope TJJ can stay fit. He and PW looked as if they had good rapport after that late winner last home league match so hope we can keep.  Thanks Jack for missing a sitter and Forest U21s out so we avoid that hassle. Just wish kick-off times for these could be later

On the positive - think your TV sound is working fine. The silence may be due to the Covid era type atmosphere.

I'm getting unreasonably excited - if we have two trips to Wembley in one season, surely we'll win one...

  3. Rare away trip for me and thoroughly enjoyable - Derby ends noisy and entertaining with a good rapport with the players that came from being so close.

couple of thoughts - impressed with Corey Smith, always finding space going forward and interesting argument between him and Hourihane that showed the intensity.

Barkhuizen was tremendous, made so many good runs that his teammates didn’t find as he repeatedly came between centre back and full back.

However, messy and nervy at the end once Cash went off, what happened to Wildsmith to upset the radar on his kicks ?

Bolton is a huge one next week. Big win for them again today, but feels like we have a strong squad that really adds options from the bench. 2 points closer to Ipswich and Plymouth, and some serious injuries for Wednesday. It felt like ‘mission impossible’ to get in the automatics, now it’s improved to ‘tough ask’

  4. plenty of nice moments - Barkhuizen and Mendez-Laing very positive and working hard - Roberts is excellent though the trialist left back also worth a contract. Not convinced by Davies and Chester together yet - Cashin still an option. Knight can start at right back next week for me, though harsh to judge the youngster on one mistake. McGoldrick can fill the gap between midfield and attack.

Wonder where Byrne actually is ?

Is Bielik actually training at Derby ?

  5. Some fascinating clues today - Mendez-Laing and Barkhuizen strong in their first games. However, still feels like we need an experienced striker.

We have a volume of centre backs (Davies, Cashin, Stearman, Chester, Roberts), but weak at full back - with Byrne’s absence the biggest challenge - - interesting to see Roberts play half an hour at left back.

Wildsmith looks a good keeper but needs to get used to our ‘play it from the back’ philosophy.

and can we get Fozzy a contract pls.
