If Rooney, Cook and Stretford are all on the scene/staff in 2 week's time, then I will believe my gut instinct.

Just got a feeling, that's all.

I do recall CK referring to the person buying the ground as his “partner” in a tweet some weeks back…

Whilst this is obviously looking like more positive news than anything, there are some questions. There was an article in 2018 in the Leicester Mercury that I've found online which listed the richest businessmen in the East Midlands. Clowes is 19th with £252mil (for reference, MM was 11th at £500mil at this time). So he's clearly been a very wealthy man for a long time. He's apparently a lifelong Derby fan. We've been in administration for 9 months. Why has it taken this long for him reach this stage? Is it because Kirchner's false promises eclipsed any other realistic interest? Or is literally everybody involved determined to squeeze every last possible drop out of this deal?

I sincerely hope the interest is genuine and successful, and by the sounds of it, we'll know either way in a very short period of time. If we can complete a takeover before the end of June when the contracts expire, then that'll be excellent news and still give us the possibility of giving this season a shot.

Maybe he didn’t want to have to do this, but we’re so close to the brink he doesn’t have a choice now. I’ll back him all the way if he saves us, no matter how long it took for him to become a front runner.

Something must be happening for games to be announced... Mustn't it?

Well Hertha announced the friendly against us some weeks ago… they then took it off their website. There must have been something stopping us confirming the fixture, that’s now no longer an issue

So then he won’t lose 1.2 million will he?

So the Admin who say they’ve not been paid yet have just stumped up 1.2 million?

Its Nixon mind, as you were.

Ok, makes a bit of sense but not a whole load of sense. Kirchner guarantees the admins, who take a loan off MSD?

Mike, if you’re reading this can you let us know?

I am sick to death of seeing alan nixons tweets in this thread. hes become the most frequent poster

The guy is clueless and has been continuiously wrong throughout this process, hes spent the last day backtracking and changing his story to suit the facts yet people still claim he is reliable

why are people even giving him the attention he so desperately craves and makes people pay for now by the way.

sick of him, sick of the admins, sick of mel morris, sick of everyone involved in this shambles.

He has been wrong at numerous times throughout the process, he’s also been right.
People don’t have much to go on.

If it is from crypto the traceability of funds is very complex, the only reason he'd be in the **** is if he's not declared it all when he's "withdrawn" to a stable currency and avoided tax.

If he’s declared it as income and paid tax then all the traceability is sorted… if he’s not paid tax on it then I doubt he’d have declared it.

Who’s played him as a fiddle?

I know Ed isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, he’s not really mine and I’ll criticise him where it’s appropriate, but today he did the right thing and it’s fair to give him credit where it’s due. Kirchner might not like it, Nixon might not like it but they were both sat on the information as to why the takeover had hit a snag, but because it didn’t suit their versions they were keeping quiet.

Ed went OTT with his morning message yes, and it was classic Dawes, but because he did Nixon came out giving us what he knew all of a sudden. Simon Stone was tweeting to add pressure on. White and Jordan at the very least gave it national coverage and did speak to Kirchner. By midday at least is the fans could paint a picture of what was happening and make our decisions. Look on here today, no huge dramas or too much gloom, we chatted, debated and had a bit of a laugh about what was happening. Imagine if we’d had another day of silence, the fans deserved to know what was happening.

Ed started to pull back a little after lunch, and so did Radio Derby on their news bulletins until sportscene. There Ed said pretty much everything he knew at that point, which was a changing story and that Ashley and Appleby were now in the background.

He did well today and it gave the fans a clearer picture. It’s only right that we give credit where it’s due.

    Nice take
