Inverurie Ram reacted to LeedsCityRam in Match Thread: vs Reading (H)
Would be disappointed if it wasn't an unchanged side - lots of positivity about the line up so makes no sense to change it unless we're forced into it by injury. Warne is also the least likely Derby manager in recent times to change a winning team so strongly suspect we will be unchanged.
Reading are not to be taken lightly given the quality they have (and that the EFL continually wave through for them to 'buy' despite their ongoing financial incontinence) - they're also not clear of relegation yet & probably fear another points deduction before the season is out, so will be highly motivated.
It will be a tightly fought contest & I would like to see us dominate the ball throughout like we did first half on Saturday but with a better final ball. Getting them chasing the ball will tire them out & also conserve our energy after Saturday's effort - definitely don't want to see us camped in our own half looking to hit them on the break. Lots of quality options off the bench if the game is finely poised after 60/70 mins - any sign of fatigue from Saturday's exertions & we have to be proactive with getting subs on the park.

Inverurie Ram got a reaction from Premier ram in Everything’s in Place - The i
The glory years at the Baseball Ground are now a distant memory, and modern Rams fans have become accustomed to turbulent times on and off the pitch. Clowes was among thousands who marched from the city centre to the stadium just over two years ago in a desperate plea for the club to be saved.
Having steered his beloved Rams out of troubled waters, the local businessman would not have expected it to be plain sailing in League One – but Derby are still in the play-off spots and remain in contention for the automatic places.

That’s next season. I’m sure DC won’t let that pass him by.

Not sure where to put this as we haven't got a heritage thread, but it looks like we have been gifted the Watney Cup by Bristol Rovers.
Maybe it's just our turn to look after it for a few years?

So are you saying you would have preferred Bolton winning tonight who are also above us and would then be 3 points ahead of us even though we still have to play them.
And if you didn’t like tonight’s draw then you would have preferred Barnsley winning tonight who then would have the same points as us, with a game in hand, and if they won that, they would be 3 points ahead of us, but we don’t play Barnsley though.
Surely the draw has enabled us to be just 1 point behind both teams, if Barnsley win their game in hand. And better still if Barnsley lose their game in hand, they are 2 points behind us, or draw it, 1 point behind us.

Certainly the best result for us tonight and Bolton have used up their games in hand but only ended up 1 point in front.
