Yet it was fine for Clough and MacKay

That was 50 years ago when Scotland had some pretty decent players. Football has moved on since then, sorry to break that to you.

You're ignoring all the people who are telling you that the players you are suggesting are likely not good enough for Derby in the Championship, or League One.

There are some good Scottish players, but they are all out of our perceived budget. What is getting really annoying is your beligerance towards peoples differing opinions to yours on these players. Especially the ones that are helping to provide context in the wake of your inane posts and late night rambles.

Probably best to try and tout some of these players to another teams forum and see who bites.

  2. He comes across well in his interviews. Feels like he could be a good coach/mentor to our young attackers. Show them the nuances of being in the right place at the right time and using your brain to become a lethal finisher.

There's a young lad scoring for fun in the National League who we should try to snap up. Only 18 years old, and six goals in the last four games - they're calling him "the Beast". I haven't delved into the stats (but others can: https://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=174067) but since he went there, I think he's scoring a goal every 45 minutes or maybe even better.

The lad's name is Brown, Dajaune Brown. Could do a job for us next season I'm sure.

I think Gateshead a bit too far south of Dryhorce's scouting zone.

  4. Didn't the club put out a bit of a cryptic caption about not falling in love with a loan player with a pic of Ebou the other week? I do hope we've negotiated a chance to sign him. He was injured early in his Cardiff career, but didn't get much of a sniff this season (only 4 starts) despite being fit and ready to go based on his matches for us so far.

  5. I'm not sure how someone can make that interview sound so negative.

RB is clearly saying the lad has had a couple of issues adjusting to the intensity and small injury niggles haven't helped his progress in getting up to speed with the rest of the squad. However, he is improving in training and if he continues to do so will likely find more minutes should the form of NML and Barkhuizen dip at all.

This is very normal for a professional footballer to experience in their career.

Not exactly precision finishing for any of them, but they all count.

5 goals in 3 appearances now - he's obviously doing something right

The finishes weren't particularly clean, but his reaction to set himself for the shot one first one is great. The second one he dribbles through the defence nicely and switches the ball to his left foot to finish. And for his 3rd, his movement to the front post is perfect.

Not goal of the season contenders, but if he carries on like this I'd like to see him involved more with our first team next season and it may save us some money by not having to spend big on a more seasoned striker.

Doesn't matter. We called for a game to get postponed when only Washington and Mendez-Laing were called up at the start of the season- Robinson, Lindsay, Richards were called up too, which allowed us to postpone.

While that is true, I expect we used the younger players to make up the numbers to call for the postponement due to the fact that Washington and NML are key first team members that would've significantly weakened our attacking options.

There is no point in postponing the match if we have our first choice squad available for selection. Better to keep the fixtures spaced out and not have a busy calendar at the end of the season.

He left before administration. Another one who turned down a new deal and walked out on the club who nurtured to sign for a European team so we received minimal compensation. One of the reasons given in this article is that he thought he'd get more chance of first team action - at a time when we had about 7 academy products in the first team squad.

It's worked out well for him, which is great, and a credit to him. But it leaves a bitter taste, much like Buchanan, Gordon and Delap.

To be fair, at the time we had Forsyth, Buchanan and Williams ahead of him at left back. He wanted a place to get more consistent first team football and it looks like his decisions are working in his favour.

Just read The times who have received the “email” with link to Google drive and pictures to illustrate the story for those who can’t read properly. sounds pretty messy. The article goes on saying the DTS can stop filming for this year as they’ve got enough to fill all episodes for next year series 😂

Is it in the public domain/social media yet? Asking for a friend who does not do social media.

The messages are searchable mainly through Reddit channels. I had a quick read yesterday and it all seems pretty tame and more embarrassing for Honry Horner than anything else.

I can see some words being dropped into interviews with him to see if he "explodes" live on air 😂

Tyrone Mears. It would've been more obvious with the other fun fact about his great escape from Moor Farm 🙂

    Reminder:

The Bahrain grand Prix in on Saturday 2nd march (and not Sunday).

I'm not sure the reason and I think it's the same in Saudi.

It's because Ramadan starts the Sunday after (during Saudi weekend) so they need to bring that one forward and the rules of F1 dictate that there is a minimum window needed between the race finishing the weekend before and the next practice session starting. So they brought Bahrain forward by a day too.

  12. Sometime in life you have to take the opportunities that come your way. If I was Dajaune I'd be trying to get back to Derby and get in the matchday squad.

When he was sent out on loan we had an in form Collins and the prospect of signing another striker before the end of the Jan window, which would've left him with less opportunity and just some minutes in the u21s. However, things have panned out differently, Collins out for a while, our other strikers all injured, we've just signed Gayle up as emergency cover, but there's space for a plan B striker in the squad.

Yes Barks and Sibley might do a job there, but they aren't specialist strikers. Having Gayle as the main threat and Dajaune as his back-up (also learning some tips from the former PL striker) is much more beneficial to us and him, in my opinion.
