Not really true. The ppg doesn’t really change much between now and the end of the season.
2018/19 season is the closest to the average points from the last ten seasons. The ppg for 21st place in that season increased by 0.02 from game 30 to the end of the season. You’ll find it does increase between now and the end of the season, but it regresses back down

Of course no one knows how damaging an individual defeat it is. But if we’re relegated by 3pts come the end of the season, it’s not this result that did it, it’s losing away to Peterborough and Barnsley.
the next game against Peterborough, as you say, the pressure is on, big time. If we lose that one, then it’s not looking good. Those are the games we need to be winning.
I wouldn’t have thought Wayne went to boro with the intention of losing, but we all knew that a win there, against a team currently in good firm and in the top 6, was the least likely of possible outcomes.

Yep, keeping it simple.
PPG at this point over the season won’t change too much, but a burst of results can have a sharp impact. although as the season goes on the impact on season PPG diminishes.
for example our season PPG will put us on 28 points, but the last 6 games will put us on 39. That’s quite a difference. And Readings is virtually the opposite.
