Same game just completely different perspectives, which is what this is all about.
 
I saw the pressure and possession they were building but I also saw zero threatening moments bar the Chiesa chance which Pickford had well covered. No nail biting required until the penalties - in a Euro final! 
 
I think it’s in our mentality to expect more from English international teams but 2018 opened up a different view for me and I enjoyed that and this tournament so much more than previous ones. Probably the greatest, most enjoyable rides football has given me and I’ll be ever grateful to Southgate for that. 

I don't really get all the Captain Hindsight stuff. When you're leading 1-0 in a Euro Championship Final, very comfortably may I add, I can totally understand why a game-managing, cautious coach didn't go on the front foot and make wholesale changes. I think Chiesa created one decent chance for them all game and they grab a scrappy, 4th ricochet off a corner equaliser to get back into it - poo happens. 
Literally a couple of penalties being scored away from being knighted. Carry on Gareth, you're doing a brilliant job.

Why is it that when something nice happens to England, it's not down to their own efforts and skill but purely down to the weakness of the opposition?

The England team isn't ongoing. This group has no past, no failure to live up to the hype. That's why they're different. 
You sound pretty unhappy about the idea of English people being happy about England making a major final with a new and refreshingly humble bunch. 
I mean Derby have threatened to be promoted a lot recently but should that be seen as a negative if they actually achieve it? 
The attitude that you have towards England is one I would expect from a Scotland fan. Its the attitude I'd expect from a Forest fan in the Derby context. 
People have had a poo time recently. Football/sport being back is quite a big deal. Add that to the fact England have made the final and I can see why there are happy people.
I just don't get why some English people are determined to hate on it. This England team hasn't done anything to let anyone down. This manager has done nothing to disappoint anyone. 
And I know if England were knocked out in the group people would say "same old England. Not good enough".
Those same people if England win on Sunday will be saying how lucky they were, how it just shows how bad they've been in the past etc etc. 
No offence but I hope the cringey love in is still bothering you from Monday onwards.

We know it was a horrifically soft penalty and we'd all be sick to go out to a decision like that. We have done in previous tournaments. But what are people actually expecting us to say? Forfeit the game? Give Denmark the win?
I''d rather Sterling not dive to win us games because I hate it. Just like I hate our fans boo'ing other nations anthems because I hate that too. Am I daft enough to think its just an English problem? Certainly not but because its us it gets blown out of proportion like everything else.

55 years ago, we contrived to get my dad on the right shift at work so nine year old me and my mum could watch the World Cup final. (Dad hated football.)

I'm quite emotional. 

The best thing about the constant Euro 96 nostalgia a few weeks ago is that it’s made me realise how important it is to treasure times like this.
I’m 21, no responsibilities, constantly with my mates in the pub and England have a real chance of winning a major tournament.
I’m living my Euro 96 and I’m absolutely loving it.

Have to say, some players are stepping up and showing what Southgate must have seen in them. 
Rice is really owning his position more and more. Allowing Phillips (is it OK to love a Leeds player) to put pressure on the ball. 
And Phillips is no Pirlo. Nothing like. But he is a horrible player who looks like he'd take on Denmark on his own if he had to. 
Kane, at last! Finally arrived and is making the runs and dummy runs we needed. Taking his marker on a walk. 
Always love Sterling. A lot rests on his shoulders and no, he doesn't always deliver but he carries the pressure on as you'd expect from a captain/leader in the body of Igor Stimac. 
Harry Maguire is the boss. He is the human form of English spirit. 
Yeah, I just think Southgate might deserve some love now. It's an England team that has always looked like it lacked a gear. But it might be time to make peace with that and accept his solid unit sprinkled with very good attacking players gets results where better England sides didn't.

How many times in your lifetime do nights come around like last night?
As Derby/England fans we've had enough lows not to enjoy the highs every once in a while - especially given the last 18 months or so.
We may or may not get all the way to the final, we may or may not win it, but lets at least enjoy the good times on the way  There will be time to moan soon enough ? 
 

Maybe its just me but I can't sit here and cry about the EFL after the way we've been operating for the past few years. 
Rolled the dice, failed multiple promotion attempts and have tried loophole after loophole to try and straighten out since. How many non-parachute payment clubs were giving Darren Bent (and the rest) tens of thousands a week in this division? Sold their stadium to themselves? Signed a player through a sponsorship deal? Registered player amortisation different to the required standard? 
I just can't sit here and say we've tried our best to avoid this mess, its been coming. 
If that view makes me less of a Derby fan than the super supporters are, so be it. I'll support the club where ever it ends up but I'm not going to lie about its shady activity post 2014.
