  1. Well some of us are. You stamping your feet isn't likely to change either scenario, is it?
  2. You're a good egg Rammie, but you've not said 'yes' to a player in a decade. Might you be stuck in default mode? Maybe you just need switching on and off again, or perhaps your fairer half could try hitting you with a hammer.
  3. Dear Godd, Are you fecking serious?!?!? Love, 86 x
  4. You'd think Stoke might be in a fair position to evaluate his current wellbeing and likely future usefulness, so would offering him another contract not suggest he's not quite as washed up as some assume? It's not an easy one I concede and I can see both sides to the argument, but my leaning is always that class is permanent, especially at a lower level like L1. I'm also mindful of a good few expressing the same concerns when Didzy rocked up with a similarly uninspiring recent track record. CKR too for that matter. Of course, there are risks attached, when aren't there, but if we are talking a loan and option kind of deal, I'd definitely not be against it as having only Collins available for any period of time is a huge gamble IMO. All about the money though; if a deal can be structured where he gets what he wants based on performance milestones and / or promotion bonuses, that'd de-risk things greatly; if it's front-loaded with all the risk sat with Derby, that'd be a much harder call.
  5. @3k views for 90 likes. Hmmm... Agree with your point though @Caerphilly Ram
  6. We tried apparently, but misspelt his name on the registration paperwork. Shame as the chant would have been great, 'Let me here you say Jaoo, Jaoo' to the tune of Boom, Boom, Boom 😂
  7. Of course it all depends on the numbers. I'd like to see the lad here, as he ticks a lot of boxes and tbh, if he's anywhere remotely near what he was, he'd probably tear most L1 defences to bits. At the same time though, I'd not want us to be blowing too much of our windfall on him, especially against a backdrop of a £6.8 million trading loss. For this to happen, I think it'd need Dwight to want it and therefore not to make silly demands and take a punt on some choice bonuses if he does well, rather than simply the biggest guaranteed windfall. It's hard to be optimistic and upbeat sometimes, but you never know, he might just fancy the Derby project more than more than bench-warming at Ipswich. Exciting times ahead if he does!
  8. The we can confirm that those booing are complete throbbers who would happily cut off their own noses to spite their stupid faces.
  9. Love the lad personally and partly because of that, I think a move elsewhere is a probably not such a bad move for him. Folk have questioned whether Brizzle can match our ambitions, but they overlook the fact that if Max were all about ambition, he'd have left Derby years back. As it is, Bristol are a Championship club, located in a vibrant city, there are strong links through Jason Knight and Max will presumably be on a very decent salary too. Not a move entirely without merit then! Clearly a good few would disagree, but I say more power to him, he owes us the square root of FA. He's shown his loyalty though thick and thin and yet still isn't really appreciated by a significant number of us fans. The football side of that debate will rage on no doubt, but their opinions have been made loud and clear, so perhaps this too plays into his thinking. It would mine. What is clear, is that Max is doing this on his own terms and I believe securing a positive outcome for Derby too, also ranks a priority. I think the deal structure, is actually quite telling. The fee, by all accounts, is a fair one and if reports are accurate, a fair bit more than we could sensibly expect at a tribunal. We also retain his services until the end of the season, not a benefit for some on here, I concede, but certainly one in my mind and after that, Max gets what he wants, which sadly, is a fresh start and a clean slate after the summer break in pastures new. TBH, I'm gutted the lad has not chosen to take another tilt with Derby, but he's a been very loyal for a lad at the right end of his career and I can only thank him and wish him all the best. OAR
  10. I know right! 18 lucky goals later and suddenly he's the league 1 Ronaldo. He's only scored more goals because his form has improved a lot. If it hadn't, he'd still be as shyte as last season, right?
  11. Hamilton to Ferrari!?!?! Does this mean he's not impressed with the new, improved Mercedes? Lewis Hamilton could make a shock move to Ferrari for the 2025 season, BBC Sport understands. Several sources say claims of links between the seven-time champion and Ferrari should be taken seriously, but a deal is not yet confirmed. Ferrari want Hamilton to join Charles Leclerc for the 2025 season. The 39-year-old signed a new two-year deal with Mercedes for 2024 and 2025 last summer but it seems he can leave after one season, should he choose. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/68163799
  12. I think a lot of folk couldn't really see his technical ability, but in fairness to them, he was still quite willowy and he looks to have strengthened up and his confidence seems to grow weekly. He's not being brushed off the ball anymore. Honestly, you'd kill to have him at the club right now, but las with a few others, it's just a real shame we could not hold onto him. As it is, he's proved himself to be a another very talented young player and I can but wish him all the best, though I'm NGL, it still stings a bit 😔
  13. Odd one really as it's not the first time they've tried and been knocked back. In my ignorance I'd assumed they might be a bit more willing to have a second US team on the grid, but as you point out, this feels more like, 'it's my ball and you can't play'.
  14. We have to get cover for Collo. That's a mandatory condition. Crap luck that we lose three striking options to injury, but here we are. I think Warne and co probably had a few sexier targets, but clearly most players who improve the starting 11 have not been within our scope, so the next best option, given our current circumstances, is a short loan that offers decent cover and perhaps a different attacking option. I think Gregory meets those requirements well enough and has more than enough about him to be scoring against L1 defences when Collo needs resting.
  15. Played more footy recently than a good few of ours, addresses some theoretical needs as an athletic and energetic ball winning type of midfielder, suggests strongly that PW may play a 4-3-3 with a holding mid, which ought to play to our strengths, the guy is a current international and a good age to boot. You never really know, but it looks promising to me and I'm not sure why some are down in mouth over it.
