  1. Too late mate. They'll be off their food for days now.... 😔 In all seriousness, it does strike me as wishful thinking, but stranger things have happened. Let's be honest, this forum could do with a lift right now and getting a half decent striker through the door would be just fine and dandy with me. Sadly, I fear that ship may have sailed though.
  2. Thanks Gaspode. Kids are crying now 😋
  3. You never know... https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/derby-county-already-made-free-9073067
  4. We're only kidding mate! You should know by now that even the most innocent / valid points will get idiots like me taking the piss! 😂
  5. Are you seriously suggesting we use the bird cash to sack Warne and his staff? Really? 🤣 Where have they said this?
  6. When I first saw Buatsi I thought he was a killer. Raw AF, but a nasty puncher. He's not really progressed markedly though and while he has pedigree, he's a mile off the Russian fighters IMO. On that note, I read somewhere that the Russians are trying to snooker the Bivol - Beterbiev fight, so it could be that the winner of this fight ends up with one of those two. That's when their ride ends for me. I think either of the Russians dismantles either of the Brits and with minimal fuss. Next fights aside, it's still a big fight and a really good match up on paper. Not looked and doubt I'll play, but I'd imagine Buatsi would start a heavy favourite, though it may not be as easy as the markets may suggest.
  7. Third time the fight has been cancelled. Even Fury fans are getting fed up. Incredibly clean cut though, so it should heal nicely 👀 Ah well, maybe a few man-size helpings of uncastrated wild boar might see him training better?
  8. So disappointed in you @Caerphilly Ram Potato? In a pie? Psychopath.
  9. Does anyone really know bar the man himself? I'd have thought that the £300-£400K we spent on a player 6 months from being available on a free would strongly suggests that he still retains faith, but it's all guesswork really, isn't it? FWIW, I think giving up on a manager and team that sits right on the leaders heels would be a tad daft, especially when you've chunked in the sums DC has to buy the club and I don't think for one minute, that Clowes is any kind of fool. My guess would be that if anything gives him pause for thought, it'd be the £6.8 million trading loss more than Warne and the recruitment team's efforts. Also, has Warne not made it clear he was supported during the window in interviews since, so are we then assuming he is telling porkies? hard to see to what end, if so, so it's a probable 'no' from me, though I concede others will see things differently.
  10. Happy birthday Jono. Fingers crossed the lads serve you up a feast of football to accompany your single malt 🙏
  11. Worst performance I've seen at international level. Has no idea how to ref the breakdown and has gifted Ireland points where they should have been pinged. Fair play to them though as they've done their homework and the French clearly haven't.
  12. Agreed, but they've been helped somewhat by playing 14 men almost from the off. The French, meanwhile, are bloody infuriating. Game ruined inside 20 minutes because Willemse can't control his thuggishness. Such a brilliant team but boy do they find new and inventive ways to lose.
  13. And right on cue, 5 mins after a stint in the sinbin he gets himself sent off. What a feckin spoon.
  14. Errr, did I mention how good the Irish are? 🙊 Honestly though, WTF is up with the French here. Zero discipline or defensive shape. Worrying for their fans.
  15. The 6 Nations opener in just over an hour and quite likely the game that decides the championship on the first night. Poor planning? In fairness, probably not, but it does provide a very welcome distraction from the other stuff right now, irrespective. France are missing the lethal halfback pairing of Ntamack and Dupont and that's not going to aid their cause. Irish talisman Sexton is now retired and the Irish themselves have one or two others missing they'd rather weren't. Ireland also still sit 2 spots above the French in the WR rankings, but for me, the French field the stronger 15 tonight and have home advantage to boot. I think they'll win well on their way to a Grand Slam. Best of luck to all your teams, unless of course they're not England 😋
  16. Nah, what's up is you've misunderstood a post, then tried twice to attribute meaning to it that it does not contain to try and explain away your own response. I've pointed out that the way fans view individual players has a significant and IMO not entirely fair bearing on how very similar propositions can be viewed in very different ways. The rest of it, you've just feckin made up, presumably because I've somehow managed to upset you without even engaging. I'll drop myself out at this point as there's been more than enough dull to and fros in recent days without me adding to the count.
  17. And yet you knew exactly what I meant. So my point was a valid one then? Did I quote you or refer to you in any direct or indirect manner? I wasn't even talking to you 😂
  18. We exercised an option for an additional year. The new contract takes him through to 2027. Is that what you mean by 'spin'?
  19. So when it's Eiran Cashin, selling with a loan-back is fantastic business, but when it's Max Bird, it's like living with your ex. WALOB 😂
