We'll hear nothing this side of Christmas. This time last year I bet fans were buying infatada scarves and inflatable camels.

And everyone was saying at the beginning of Administration how refreshing it was to get some positive communication out of the club instead of silence out of Mel.

I still say we are going to be the first 'big' club that gets liquidated.

Not being pessimistic but my guess is this,

    Fire sale January
All bidders pull out by March
Liquidation at the end of season if not before.

I think we all want all owed taxes paid, we can agree on that.

But the £27m itself is a drop in the ocean too HMRC.  If they accept say, half, £13.5m.  They then let every other football debtor that 50p in the £1 is okay.  Going forward the implications of that are gigantic, much more than the relevance of Derby County to them.

Would you fight for power (in terms of being a preferential creditor in this sense) to then essentially just 'give' that right away?  Precedence in law is everything, sentences is court of made off the back of precedence, people being found guilty and not guilty of offences is done so on the back of precedence.  That's why is makes zero sense that HMRC are going to do anything to benefit DCFC.  They don't care about us.

one_chop reacted to Comrade 86 in Should Rooney be doing better under the current circumstances?
So let me get this straight; we're being asked to assess an assumed 22 point haul with the same squad, but without any real world real context, ie the small matter of embargos, points deductions and all the other restrictions and inhibitors? Question: What's the point in that? I mean why not simply assess Rooney using material facts rather than make some poo up? Hardly an objective approach is it?
As for his performance, only the top three have better defensive records. I know our narratives wildly differ and this despite me not being Rooney's biggest fan, but surely that's not only pretty remarkable, but also reflects very positively on Rooney and the coaches? I don't think glibly alluding to our defensive output as 'one of the better records' is anything other than an obvious example of damning with feint praise. Let's have it right. Last season we seemed to concede every time opponents launched the ball into our box, so unless I'm mistaken, the difference is night and day.
As for our goalscoring record, yep, it's poor, but given CKR has been injured all season and we have no other target man, might this at least partially explain why we are so easy to defend against, or should we be blaming Rooney for players getting injured (Knight aside) and the club's inability to find a proven goalscorer who was BOTH a free agent AND prepared to play for £4.5k a week?
I dare say if we had a Mitrovic, a Brereton or a Solanke in our team (or even half of one of their output) allied to our strong defensive unit, there'd be rather less appetite for artificial polls whose only purpose seems to be to provide a noisy minority with yet another opportunity to publicly vent their spleens.
Pure Poundland clickbait masquerading as debate, I'm afraid, and wholly unworthy of any purported professional content provider.

Hope as many of you can make the trip Bristol on 4th december
Although I understand that 1,700 odd tickets have been sold in advance and there will be no pay on the day(AND THIS WILL NOT BE CHANGED)
Just been checking the Derby county away following in 2017/18 season and it was 1,512
Match day programmes will be on line only and I am lead to understand they will be FREE to look at on line for match day ticket holders
Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 1pm please don't block drive ways or park on corners.
    COMING BY ROAD
Head to avonmouth junction 18 on the M5 and follow the route A4 Bristol Airport along what is known as the Portway under the Clifton suspension bridge and the ground will appear in the distance
It looks the long way round, but its quicker than trying to fight your way through the streets of central Bristol
    TRAINS
If you are coming down by train,an appeal to purchase the tickets to PARSON STREET station. Its the same price and it gives us(Bristol City) ammunition to get better facilities for the official train station for Ashton gate until we get a new train station opened nearer to ashton gate
Train time are XX:27 past the hour which takes you two thirds of the way to the ground and then walk the rest of the way ,although there is a 13:56 departure from Parson Street which is good arrival time for the train from the North of England at 13:40pm
On the return its a good time from Parson Street at 17:25pm
On your way to the ground we have our statue of John Atyeo in the home section at the Winterstoke Road end
Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes cos I think their both rubbish
The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston)
Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses"
Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's
Pubs possibly best one are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage.
suggest park your car and then walk to the ground.
Harbourside area of the central area is very good
BBC Radio station is radio Bristol which has frequencies and 94:9 and DAB (and 95:5 up till 3pm),
with full match day commentary on BBC radio Bristol which should be on 94:9(if not it will be on Bristol DAB
Bristol seems have become the English Hollywood with recent dramas filmed in the City being
The outlaws Showtrial, The Girl Before and Chloe and The Long Call
Please circulate to other football sites you deem necessary
If you need any further info ask away and I don't bite
