Today, Mel Morris had within his gift one final gesture of goodwill to our club, that would have let us celebrate our survival together in our home with a new owner.
Instead, he chose for whatever reason to deny us this final solace, in what has been our toughest season for many decades.
I've always tried to understand the difficulties he has faced, the money he poured into the club, the intransigence of the EFL, the outside factors at play.
But my patience has worn thin lately, and today it has snapped altogether.
You've lost the club, Mel, you've lost our club. You've lost all respect, you've lost our respect.
No matter what you do from this point forward you will never redeem yourself in my eyes.

Because he knows the people involved and their experience in the game?
Why would Ashley be your preference out of an option of Kirchner or no club?

Hopefully he’s already fallen in love with our train set.

So for the past few days the owner-elect, CK, has been sounding increasingly confident that "the deal is nearly done".
He was coming over for the EFL rubber stamping but then said he was apparently not needed at a "behind closed doors meeting".
Next we hear from Percy that the EFL still have concerns that need to be addressed.
We have suspected for a while that Percy is being leaked information from the EFL but it now appears, given CK's earlier confidence, that Percy is getting the information even before CK hears it. If that really is the case, then it is beyond appalling.
And, if they need things to be addressed, why not invite him to their goddam meeting?? ?
Sheesh. If the EFL scupper this deal, I really hope CK blows the lid of that corrupt, incompetent organization.
Not fit for purpose.

Kirchner said in the zoom meeting with Solloway that he was going to be in the meeting with the EFL today, then last night he said he wasn’t required in the meeting, now the EFL are saying they need more dialogue before we can proceed.
I smell a stitch up.

The club is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it.
Kirchner said he looked at many others and kept coming back to ours.
The infrastructure and fan base here sets us apart from clubs that would cost a similar amount.

If you compare it to how much the council spent on building the velodrome, £28 million, and while it’s a ‘nice to have’, it doesn’t have anywhere near the benefit to the local community and the money the football club generates for the city/county, it’s a no brainer for the council to buy it and help the club survive.

Don’t expect it to be done by Saturday, it will will be a few weeks after that we exit administration, Saturday is an agreement to purchase and the OK to go ahead from the EFL.

They can’t win can they?
If he was some Malaysian (I’ve nothing against Malaysians BTW) businessman who never comes to the ground and never communicated he’d get a right royal roasting.
So he wants to be a part of the culture of the club he’s hoping to buy, good on him.
