Actually, a good story about Costa. I recently employed 2 ladies that were working in my local Costa. I had 2 pretty entry level jobs that did not pay much but was still a better deal than Costa. They had never worked in my industry but my lot had a gut feeling about them.
Both are absolutely brilliant and have doubled their wages in less than a year. Hard working, multi-lingual superstars. Could not me more happy with them. They both admit that Costa did teach them some good things and they learnt a lot..
Moral is I suppose, just because you may not hold the greatest job in the world at any given time, it does not mean that you cannot achieve anything, given a bit of luck and dedication.

I'm also of the understanding that, last time I read up on this story, a potential stumbling block appeared to include mention of alleged non-passenger licence/unqualified pilot etc.  A chartered flight with BA it was not!
Regardless of  any contracts, insurances being in place, and whoever arranged the flight etc, it may yet prove that said insurance would/could be invalid anyway.

this sadden me revel, not least because as meaningless as it is to you, you've been my favourite poster on this forum for a good few years now, and when I've been really low, many of your posts have made me smile.
I can't answer for your issues, but awareness, as I am consistently convinced,  is the start of a recovery. and alcohol is the fuel for lots of misery, especially if it's chemically enhanced lagers brewed in the UK (such as Stella).
I imagine if you can sustain a couple of weeks off the drink, even if you're not a big drinker, and replace it with something rewarding, like cycling or jogging, or even reading a book or two, I would wager a massive swing in mentality.
Again, I know things are easier said than done. I just hope that you can get yourself right before you do anything you cannot repair.

Just by reading your post, it's clear we holiday in completely different resorts!   

Although fried is not uncommon, revuelto (scrambled) is much more typical in bars at least.
