    He did mate.

Go to 1:22:40 onwards and he confirms that FanHub will be our front of shirt sponsor next season

Pearce's wording is "Yes, they will be a sponsor on the kit next season."

We have front of shirt, back of shirt, back of shorts and sleeve sponsors. Pearce didn't specify which placement they'd be, any of the above would match his answer of "a sponsor".

  2. Agreed on not moving the disabled section in the south stand. If moved, it's essentially saying the disabled supporters are less important than the abled bodied supporters. Disabled gets shoved away into the corner. Going to PPS on a matchday, being part of the south stand community and atmosphere might be one of the few things in their lives that's "normal" so to say. It's like saying, let's forcibly move a few rows from behind the goal, just so, and replace those supporters with other supporters. It's the same principle.

The press release yesterday mentioned home shirt launching in June, so at least we don’t need to spend all summer speculating on what the home kit will look like.

They did the photoshoot for the home kit on Friday. My wife has a friend that works at Moor Farm and who let's thing slip occasionally. The club is awaiting the retail stock that they ordered back a couple of months ago.

Surely if RD wanted access to the greatest number of DCFC players and staff, then they should head to the treatment room, not the training ground?

They said they'll be based in the canteen all day, but have roaming all access throughout. It might've been a slip of tongue but Dom mentioned that Warne had bought a new coffee machine. Just hang around there and you'll get the gossip.

Free gravy dinner perhaps? Though I guess it'll be steamed broccoli, rice and chicken for the athletes.

I don’t think the moans, or gentle ribbing, is about them doing this, it’s more about RD getting people’s hopes up about a big announcement.  Don’t think there’s much in the way of ‘real’ feeling about it either - most thought it would be underwhelming and, while probably a good bit of radio, it is.

I don't know why folk got their hopes up though. If it's anything of reasonable size, the club would announce it first. Player signing, new contract, investment etc. This was always going to be a RD specific thing.

Gone are the days of the Green'Un breaking the latest headlines, the club have their own media channels and will want the first say. Under Clowes there's no mega leaks, most players are signed under the radar unlike with Mel Morris and Sam Rush.

  6. Well despite the doom and gloom on this, I'm actually looking forward to it all. It'll be quite interesting listening to non pre/post match generic questioning from the players and management.

An intriguing insight into the folk behind the scenes that you don't know about or hear from usually. I know the kit man and the club secretaries have been there donkeys years, they'll surely have some stories to tell.

People have been crying out for the club to be more open and transparent, then when it happens there's all moans... Typical!

  7. I had a great view of it, very blatant head butt followed by some handbags. He knew exactly what he was doing and what he had done was evident with him already storming off the pitch before the red was issued. Absolutely unprofessional to the highest degree.

Just like Tom Lawrence of old, opposition players know they can wind him up easily and he'll react. I'm sure we all remember him stupidly diving into a defender on halfway vs Rotherham moments after they'd easily won the ball from him. Straight red card, stupidity just like Bradley yesterday.

  8. It's ever so tight in the championship, 5 points separating 16th to 23rd and only 3 points between 18th and 23rd. The mid table party 12th to 15th divided by just 2 points. With the next group challenging for the play offs not too far away points wise.

For me, a first season up is just all about staying up, second season is cementing that mid table, with the third season moving into the next group and pushing for the play offs.

This brings gradual and continuous progression. We can't expect to do a Ipswich and challenge for promotion straight again. If that plays out, amazing, but realistically it won't happen.

Let's get the job done here first, let's get promotion confirmed then let's worry about next season when it comes.

We lost them for pennies at the end of their professional contracts, to be fair. Better comparisons would have been Gordon or Delap.

Those boys then, and all the others that went to Manchester United, Brighton, Villa and everywhere else. We've been decimated of youth over the recent years. The squad we've produced but lost due to one reason or another would be stacked of talent.

There were some rumours of PL interest in Cruz at one point right? So hopefully this means a) we secured ourselves a talented footballer for the next few years and b) protected the investment in him somewhat

Not losing him for pennies like we did with Ebiowei, Ebosele and others from recent years. If clubs really want him, pay up the big cash or go do one.

'hear the fallout' - doesn't actually mean hear about a fall out.. it just means hear about the points raised/discussed from the fan forum lol.

It's poor judgment from Dom, the old adage "don't give the referee a decision to make" comes in here. Sure, technically speaking one meaning could be general discussion, but overall, the most common understanding of the word by a landslide is negative slanting. Dom could've easily used a different word that'll not be confused.

Likewise with seemingly suggesting that Brown has left the club entirely. Very poor choice of wording and sentence structure from him. Whether he's trying to create a media story and bait engagement remains to be seen. I'd more likely put it down to naivety and the inexperience of trying to use big words where basic words would do the job fine.

Wrong. Fallout is almost always used in a negative context. Its dictionary  definition is

"the adverse results of a situation or action"

  12. Glancing through the match day thread on Bolton's forum. It's quite cute to see them making a point of how much better they are than us....as the Derby fans were booing regularly throughout the game. They say that Evatt even acknowledged the home support booing in his post match interview.

Whatever floats your boat I guess. 😂 Ebooooooooou!

Cole is a goal scorer not prolithic but could do a shift in the championship if he still has the pace

    Surely that's an oxymoron?

I assume the striker you mentioned with 0 goals in 27 games (amongst many other poor seasons) is much the better option than league one's second top goal scorer...

I hope that he is booked into a nice hotel it's Dundee V Rangers on Sunday hopefully he goes and watches Lyall Cameron if he is scouting for us

Kilmarnock v St Mirren on Saturday if he wants to get a look at Ryan Strain

Nobody has said that Billy Davies is scouting for Derby, he also isn't a member of the club's scouting team. As discussed on the forum a couple months ago, it's more likely that we sign some glamorous European players since we actually have a scout (Robin Krasniqi) who is based in Europe. Until last month he was based in Madrid and now he's based in Austria. We obviously wouldn't be employing someone in these regions if we weren't actively taking an interest in potential deals. Warne said in his Barnsley pressers that he admires Barnsley's European/Scandinavian recruitment, so he/Mark Thomas is obviously taking it seriously.

If we spent 20k on anyone’s wages I’d be hugely disappointed. We’ve just come out of a situation where over spending and gambles nearly put us in the floor.

Yes, we’ll need to make a few addition in the summer but it won’t be a massive overhaul as you suggest.

Exactly this on the wages. It'll be a real kick in the teeth for all the local businesses that had to take fractions of the debts owed them with the admin.

DC is running the club with the ethos of integrity, whilst ensuring a sustainable and reputable club. Going back to the old ways of boom or bust immediately on promotion would just be plain stupid. Something that he isn't.

We're a much better thought of club and business now. Let's keep it like that.

If we can do better then that would be great to do a Ipswich or what ever but bottom lines that we have enough quality not to get dragged into a relegation battle in our first season back up

Looking at Ipswich's team from Saturday, from their signings this season; two players started, three came on as a sub and two were unused. That's a possible seven from twenty players, with only five being used. I can see similar happening for Derby in the summer, a few of the older members will leave and hopefully be replaced by younger upcoming players. Perhaps a half dozen in and out each, including retaining Gayle and Adams. We need a settled club at all levels for continuity, from the boardroom to coaching staff and players. Ripping everything up and starting again each summer just doesn't work and ultimately led us to where we are now.

                     Kelly

              MacKenna Souttar Welsh

    Beck  Baccus Barron Cameron Ralston

                       Bair.  Hornby

Accounting that a fee been made for Cameron and Bair

Souttar Welsh Ralston Beck Hornby loan

I think that is a strong side that keeps us in the division and hopefully gets us fighting for promotion

So we get promotion this season and as reward to the current players, everyone loses their place and seemingly leaves?

I'm sure that's a great way of growing club culture and our new found reputation within the game/EFL.
