  1. He put over some delicious crosses in that first half. Curled just behind the defence, just waiting to be headed in. Gayle isn’t quite up to speed yet but once he gets used to Ward’s delivery he should get hatfuls.

  3. I have been a vocal critic of both three at the back and the inclusion of Sonny Bradley. Today, I was wrong. We negated the threat of Messers Martin and Sinclair. We played excellent pressing football and we broke with intent. It was as comfortable an away game as you could wish for. Even at half time, we looked in charge. Well done everybody, including the crowd. I loved it. Brilliant day out.
  4. I’ll throw it in the air when we score our third. Simkins will catch it.
  5. Not the nicest part of town but at least you’re close to Gloucester Road. You can make your leisurely way up or get plenty of buses. There are some nice bars and cafés (also some grotty ones - be choosy!) Hope you enjoy your stay. I’m leaving home in about an hour or so to take in a coffee, a piece of cake and perhaps a pint. Only one mind, case I’m needed second half.
  6. Ngannou looked dazed and shouldn’t have been allowed to continue. He made no real effort to avoid that last shot. Great from Joshua and you can only beat what’s in front of you, but we should remember Ngannou isn’t a boxer. Usyk will be undisputed champ if he’s allowed the fights. Fury could beat him but only if he finds the desire within him to get truly fit. That gets more difficult as you get older and I think he has too much money and too little motivation. It’s all posturing now, like Ali at the end.
  7. He’s not Pep but he’s the manager of Derby County. Surely it’s in the best interests of the club to put any reservations we may have about him and his style of football and to get behind him and the team so that we achieve success? Any negativity at this stage of the season must be to the detriment of the team. Let’s be loud and proud until promotion is achieved. Then, and only then, should we speculate about what happens next.
  8. It looks lovely in my front room. Like a big mud kebab.
  9. I’m just hoping that the brief, largely unsuccessful experiment of playing him through the middle can be forgotten and that we see the driving runs from wide again. I would love to see Blackett-Taylor and Nat operating in tandem and at their best. With Gayle in the middle we could have something truly exciting. Not as exciting of course as three central defenders passing to each other.
  10. We are missing it so much. Pleased with my t-shirt though.
  11. I paid to watch it on one of the subscription services. Keep an eye out for it. Worth a go. It’s quirky for sure and won’t be to everyone’s liking.
  12. Poor things. Emma Stone is brilliant as the young woman brought back from the dead by a Frankenstein like doctor. He inserts the brain of her unborn infant and so her new life starts as a baby’s would but then she really gets to see how the world works from a woman’s perspective. Great satire, spectacularly shot. It’s strange, but compelling. You won’t watch anything else quite like it this year.
  13. He’s made a career of being ill and joking about it. I will miss him. The two of them could barely deliver their lines without sniggering.
  14. I have booked a hotel in London for Saturday 18th May just in case. Hope it’s not needed because: A) I want Derby to get automatic promotion B) I have the Bristol 10k on Sunday 19th! COYR!
  15. Happy birthday! Hope you’ve had a great day
  16. Just pretend you’re an undercover police officer infiltrating a terrorist meeting. That should set the tone.
  17. Now, now. As long as Ewie identifies as she….
  18. The Popular Insulation Stand was okay last year. Expensive and not palatial but a reasonable enough view and not too many numpties around.
  19. You can do it Comrade 86!
  20. The reviews of One Day are following a pattern. I must be more in touch with my feminine side than I thought 😊
  21. My first away game of the season, mostly due to it being about 3.5 miles from my house! Really looking forward to the day. Strongly recommend Fed 313 cafe for those getting there early. Hope you all enjoy Bristol!
