    My opinion/outlook on our football is determined by what I see on the pitch. What I'm seeing isn't good and no amount of pretending otherwise will change that.

    I know plenty of trained clinical psychologists who'd say that merely relying upon an 'ability' to set patterns of thinking isn't really enough to alter severe clinical depression which requires a complex regiment of continual therapy/counselling and drug programmes to manage significantly debilitating symptoms. It's one of the reasons why CBT as a catch-all programme is hideously inefficient at dealing with complex cases. Maybe I misunderstood your point though. In any case, it's off-topic.

    I didn't watch the game or go, so I can't comment on the performance aspect. However, the radio derby interview was bizarre and concerning. He should put his face next to the radio derby logo on the f****** why wall because he shouldn't be doing post-match pressers if he can't sufficiently answer basic questions. More concerning about his lack of reasoning on Sibbo was his revealing why he didn't use the middle of the pitch... because we have quick wingers, and they play 3 at the back. If he played Bird in the middle, Hourihane as a 10, and Waghorn as a CF, the movement and penetration that could have been offered would have disrupted their back 3 making gaps in the middle to take advantage of. If you just keep crossing it in, they can stay in a neat line and defend the space easily. If that's the level the bloke is operating at, I finally know why when teams come to Pride Park with a semblance of a game plan, he can't break them down. Tactically, he sounds clueless and out of his depth managing a professional club.
    On the fans booing, given the performances this season and off the back of last season, people are losing their patience. We're sitting in 8th place, and for many games, we haven't looked like a dominant force. I was hoping Blackpool was a turning corner, but it doesn't sound like it after this. People have paid a lot of money to go and watch a third-division team play. If they've had enough of whatever Warne has decided to serve up I can't say I blame them. The job seems to be getting to him and he doesn't appear to be enjoying himself. Surely a mutual parting of the ways must be considered if there isn't a drastic improvement by Christmas.

    You're no different from the people you criticise. Making the same posts on every thread bemoaning how terrible the forum has become and how negative everyone is... why don't you practice what you preach and actually mix it up a little bit.
    Btw, I couldn't disagree more on the idea that your 'mood is what you make of it'. You can't just will yourself out of feeling miserable.

    I didn't say anyone had said those words, just displayed that sort of attitude.
    It's an attitude which is very much very much prevalent in your posts on the subject, especially, for example when you revert to quoting strict dictionary definitions to make your point and to suggest that someone is 'slow' or 'naive if they thought that they had a chance of getting the job when their title is interim manager.
    It seems to escape your grasp that we're talking about real people, not automatons.
    The chairman himself has said that there was a good chance that said person could have got the job, which flies in the face of your pedantry over the word interim.
    The funny thing is I was kind of backing you up - I don't believe there's been any wrongdoing by any party and that everyone was pretty much clued in on the reality of the situation.

    I like the way he's been allowed to bring in 8-10 new first team players more suited to his style of football is now used as an excuse for performances because he needs time for them to, um, settle in and learn how to play his style of football.

    I'm amused by posters saying "6 games is too early' as if Warne was appointed in the summer.
    Obviously this season is more 'his team" but he did have most of last season.
    Still no sign of a pattern of play.
    He's got the next 5 games fir me.

    Bloody hell mate, think you need a chill pill. I said absolutely nothing about Sonny Bradley’s character. All I said is it’s bad news for us if he ends up on the pitch - every time he’s stepped foot on it so far he’s cost us. That’s fact. Hopefully he improves but I’d much rather still have Jake Rooney in there instead!
    Im sure Bradley is a throughly decent guy, never suggested otherwise. I’d reserve that level of comment for the likes of Mason Bennett and Richard Keogh. But he’s been s*** at his job. Simple as. If I’d been s*** at my job and someone called it out then I wouldn’t see it as disgusting, I’d try and put it right. Which I’m sure he will do. But it’s best for this team if he isn’t on the pitch until he sorts his head out, simple as that.

    No it isn’t . That was a character assassination of a player - a Derby player - who has had a difficult start to his time here. It was toxic, nasty and unworthy. So no it wasn’t an over reaction. Just consider what you have said about another human being. (And by all accounts an honest footballer) What would you feel if someone said that about you, in that way under those circumstances. And you call yourself a supporter. Disgusting. Not retracting a single word. Disgrace, below the belt, not on, foul play. Go and look at yourself in a mirror, it’s ugliness personified.

    Seems a bit of an overreaction to saying that an injury to a good player is going to affect us because it means a s*** one will play instead? Think that’s pretty obvious to anyone?

    Come on chaps. I’m with @Millenniumram here. It’s a football forum, not the Samaritans. If you can’t have an online pop at one of your players after they have made 3 bad mistakes in 3 games when can you?
    This forum is losing its sense of humour. I blame Paul Warne.

    Well pre-season seemed to be preparing our squad for the Great North Run. Giving them a football to kick in competitive match play caught a great many unawares.

    I re-watched his first press conference and he waffled on about football being "theatre" and entertaining the fans. How he wanted to create a team the fans would applaud after every game. Here's a few comments he made that sound like sick jokes now:
    Style of play;
    "If you've got really good footballers, you're going to play football. If you've got really good athletes, you're going to make it as athletic as you can"
    Before then going on to say;
    "I think here we've got really good footballers who will know they're very good athletes. They don't know yet but they'll know" (followed by a wry smile that makes his face rather punchable).
    How he wants the fans to feel;
    "Our job in League 1 is to make the Derby fans feel like a million dollars. Put on a product they enjoy watching and can see what the team are trying to do"
    Well, his style of football makes me feel like s***, even some of the players are unsure of what they're supposed to be doing and his stubborn nature of wishing to turn footballers into "athletes" has failed us.
    Add his recruitment into the mix (considering his stubborn nature of sticking with his 'system') and he comes across as a clueless fool. How I wish we could get rid of him tomorrow!

    31% possession and 119 passes compared to Bolton's 419. Guess I'm a toddler for wanting to compete in the third division.
    Not sure why Warne supporters take it so personally when people point out how poor we are at the moment. Yes I'd rather we did well under Warne. But we're not. Yes I'd rather he turned it around in 2 weeks and proved me and his doubters wrong. I just don't see it happening. I'd be the happiest guy on the forum if he turns out to make a success of it. However, there's nothing about any game this season that's given me any hope at all.

    I would agree with you if there was any evidence of progression. Since Warne has arrived the team has gradually regressed and are getting worse. He's been here over 50 games now. I think our players have actually gotten worse at football because they're training to be brutes instead of footballers. The players hate playing this way and look miserable. No team wants to loan us players because they're not going to learn anything playing this style. We could wait 20-25 games but then half the seasons over and we might have to write of another year.
    The longer we leave Warne in charge, the longer it will take to reverse the damage he's doing.
