He was hopless. Most overated Derby 'prodige' in ages. Shows how short we are in midfield.

This will be clarified today one of two ways - either he goes or he signs a new contract
I don't think we can afford to turn down a 7 figure sum for a player out of contract at the end of the season. We need to make a big statement in our finances one way or another today and either raise our wage bill or get a windfall transfer figure in the books.
I really hope we can keep him, I think he is extremely valuable to our promotion aspirations and I hope there's room in the budget to give him a long contract.
Even our touted figure of 3m is not that much in today's football figures but its 3m more than we will get if we lose him at the end of the season

I expect more from all our players not just Bird. The least they can do chase every ball. Tackle and intercept and use all their energy to try and win the match. I can accept losing if the opposition are better than us. But not Bird’s and others apathy. The absolute minimum is the walk off the pitch at full time exhausted as you have given everything. Something Bird is not doing !

Bird was invisible and z waste of space against Wigan and Oxford. No making excuses he was shocking. Against button he had a reasonable second half. But I expect so much more and I’m fed up of being continually disappointed in his lack lustre performances

Hourihane doesn't control a game for all his CV he takes a half decent free kick but in general play he goes missing for long periods 
We don't need players going missing, we need players to get a grip and drive the team forward 

He has barely played for Forest. It would have no impact on 90% of fans. 
We have signed high profile forest players in the past with barely an issue.

Be careful Somersall Ram, people had a go at me for being critical of Bird.
