McClaren trying to wrap up a loan deal to bring Jo to the Championship for 6 months. Forest want to pay half of his £60k wages and Man City are just happy to let him go anywhere for a loan fee of £1m which McClaren sees as realistic in this transfer market.

Should be tied up by Monday and announced next week.

Forest looking to sign Shaun Barker from the scum, He's a reds fan and would relish the chance to play for his boyhood club. The sheep want at least 1.5million. The Jo rumour is also circulating around, seen various rumours quoting different wage offers, the most common being 50% around £25,000 - £30,000.

Greening signing on Wednesday, then Thurday, then Friday...:D:D:D

Assistant manager target, Colin Calderwood, is signing players at Hibernian....so you would have thought he's staying.

Who are the non-existent coaching staff coaching in Portugal without your manager being present during pre-season. A time that is quite important to get to know your players, of which you don't have any?

You don't even own your ground.

Does anyone at Notts Forest know how to buy anything?

Not surprised that they're finding it hard to buy anything, they must be over their overdraft by now, £75m an' all that! :D

Can well imagine the 'training' that's going on out there with no proper Manager/Assistant Manager watching over things. You can only imagine the state fat fook Reid's going to be coming back in - probably ramming pies down his neck every day....in between kebabs!

Derby County manager Nigel Clough is convinced the club's policy of not venturing too far afield in pre-season is the right thing to do.

The Rams face Burton in their first friendly on Saturday, and then play Macclesfield, Morecambe and Crewe.

Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "I think players don't want to be abroad in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do.

"We would rather they work hard and go home. Then they are with their families and less prone to get into trouble."

Somehow Forest fans think Clough's words above is a "little dig" at Forest, the lack of transfer activity is doing strrrrrange things to their little brains.

Ain't no way fat fook Reid will be fitting in a minibus. Think about it, no Manager and no Assistant Manager to look after him? It'll have been pie and chips every night so far! :D

pie ella and chips you mean?
