Forest want to pay half of his £60k wages and Man City are just happy to let him go anywhere for a loan fee of £1m which McClaren sees as realistic in this transfer market. The Rams face Burton in their first friendly on Saturday, and then play Macclesfield, Morecambe and Crewe. Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "I think players don't want to be abroad in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do. "We would rather they work hard and go home. Then they are with their families and less prone to get into trouble."
