Also for all those who say it will revitalize f1 like it did for football, My prediction will be, it will end up like county cricket, the rugby and others that compared to the football on sky it will be treated as a second rate sport etc.

Don't think so, as long as it has a terrestrial TV presence it will always be huge. If the roles were reversed and it was cricket this was happening to you'd barely hear about it. F1 is much more popular.

F1 doesn't need revitalizing, it's fine as it is. This will kill it. Nobodies arguing that this is a god send..

F1 going to Sky is a pile of toss. Yes it's only half the races that aren't on free-to-air, but you can guarantee those without Sky will be stuck with the Valencia's and China's of this world, rather than the Monza's and Spa's.

The viewership will be less than what it would be on free to air, as such sponsors will pull out, which will mean a lot of the smaller teams' development will be reduced more so than at present, to the extent that they will be content with trundling round hoping to be mid-table at best (sound familiar?).

I'm slightly pissed off with the BBC as well. Fair enough they've got to cut costs and one F1 race costs the equivalent of an entire series of Doctor Who to make, but they could surely have negotiated a deal to show just all of the races and maybe even just highlights of qualifying? Practice on Friday's even as a big F1 fan, i'm not particularly bothered about - although David Croft and Anthony Davidson/Karun Chandhok are excellent. I could even live without all the bells and whistles that the BBC coverage currently supplies - just give me the live feed 5 minutes before the start of the race and Martin Brundle on the mic and i'd be happy. Jake Humphrey is a cock anyway.

I've not got, nor will I ever get Sky Television so it's going to be MyP2P all the way come next season, hopefully the Murdoch empire won't be too hot on the illegal streams.

Very disappointing.

if you want all the F1 races without paying skysports, you can do it quite cheaply as the German broadcaster RTL broadcasts the race for free on satellite you just need to buy a new box and dish from B&Q or Aldi and set it up. Saw a deal not long a go for a dish and box for under £50.. Link this up with 5live for english and there you have it! You'll also get this other channel called Sport 1 which has quite a lot of other sport on it for free too.

Hamilton can not win, when he hit Button he got the blame because Button had moved over onto the correct line for the corner, so he should have backed off, today he moves over onto the correct line for the corner, but f**king Jordan and Lauda say he was at fault for going across, make your f**king mind up guys for f**ks sake.

It's the old "build him up to knock him down" approach mate, especially used when it comes to Hamilton.

He's made some stupid errors this year (looking at Monaco in particular) but he's also been extremely unlucky. Yesterday was another prime example, a 50/50 with Koba and he winds up going off.

Don't get me started on the incident with Maldonado. The fact that Hamilton received a reprimand for being the victim of some eejit trying to take him off the road says it all. Maldonado should have been taken out of the race for that and now he's attempting to take the moral high ground by saying "He's at it again". Unreal.

As much as I like motor racing, the FIA have been riddled with far-right pillocks (including some pretty serious facists). I find it no coincedence that non-European drivers have never enjoyed the same treatment as white European drivers and Hamilton seems to be targeted beyond belief.

Hamilton's been very unlucky.

I've read somewhere that he admits he saw him coming from behind. Obviously didn't expect him to try and fit his car inside his.

Lots of people suggesting he jinked towards Moldanado, but I can't see it. There's a video on youtube of Hamiltons on board cam, Maldonado just tries to take him out.
