therealhantsram
Just reading his obituary. He was abandoned by his parents and astonishingly, developed a stammer as an 8 year old then spent several years as a mute before a teacher gradually coached him back to speaking through a love of poetry. What a journey from literally having no voice to having possibly the most distinctive voice of his generation. Crewton
Had the pleasure of seeing him on the London stage about 10 years opposite Vanessa Redgrave in Much Ado About Nothing. It was just wonderful to see such an ionic actor in the flesh. I think the first time I ever saw him in anything was on TV in the early 70s in a showing of The Great White Hope, a biopic of the fighter Jack Johnson it was a performance that's stayed with me ever since. An amazing career and a life well-lived. RIP JEJ

Cisse
He was such a great actor. He always gave such a brilliant acting job. For those who have not seen it I recommend movie called The Field of Dreams. Also his role in Big Bang Theory was hilarious. RIP Mr. Jones. Crewton
