Srg
DerbyshireLive now also reporting a sell-on between 10 and 15% - an actual report, not just reporting on other people's reports.
Comrade 86
1 hour ago, Carnero said: Not quite the 25% some would have had you believe, nor no sell-on whatsover as others would have had you believe. £19m less £600k original fee gives a sell-on fee of £2.76m. Not too bad, if yet another indication that valuable players were starting to flow through the academy if MM had stayed at the roulette table a bit longer. Hey ho. Chin up mate. Those days are done now and though it's just a hunch, across all age groups and the young'uns in particular, the academy looks to my eye to have some proper gems coming through. What's more, we've now an owner and set up that might see more of them signing pro contracts. With the current crop, I expect to see the club's first £15M - £20M player within the next 3 years. Sparkle
I assume this is a FFP fiddle to benefit the likes of Villa and Chelsea as it is a ridiculous price for no real football played don’t get me wrong it’s very helpful to us

"The teenager's move to London, which could rise to £19m with add-ons, is the second deal between the two clubs in 24 hours after left-back Ian Maatsen completed a £35m move to Villa Park on Friday" Jimbo Ram
Sparkle
Staggering that we will make more money from this transfer than any other potentially this season when the lad never really got the chance to play for us - is it worth us trying to get him on loan? Wolfie20
1 hour ago, Jimbo Ram said: So is that 2-3 mill in our coffers, eventually 😊 Not necessarily. The deal is reported as being up to £19m, with various 'add ons' so what we receive will be dependant on what the initial fee is - anything else might not be guaranteed. If it's true that they're doing this as a way to cheat FFP a bit, then there has to be a fair amount of guaranteed money in the deal, otherwise it won't work. You can't book profits in your accounts that might never materialise. Hans Datdo-Dishes and Carl Sagan
Crewton
Was due to go on loan to Birmingham but has apparently picked up a hamstring injury which will keep him out for a couple of months. Lucky escape Omari. Reggie Greenwood
