Its all very strange, at the time we signed Rooney the newspapers reported he was earning £2.6m per annum and that DCFC had agreed to match that. 1 year later they were reporting that we were paying him £90k per week. Since then he has ended his playing career which, one would assume, also led to a variation of his contractual pay in a downward manner. I dont believe for one second that as a manager of a Championship club that WR is earning £90k per week.
