If and when we finally make a decision on the mangers position we need to think very clearly what our aims and expectations.

Are we appointing for a short term fix i.e. keeping us in the championship or are thinking longer term and trying to lay the foundations of something more far sited.

Who the manager will be is very much entwined with who the owner will be.

This adds another variable to the outcome.

Too further complicate matters 'affordability ' comes into to play, what/how much can we offer the 'new' person salary, length of contract, player budget to entice them to come. If the Shiekh does come in then there should be problem you think on this front but the sale falls through then this could present a big problem.

Experienced managers with a track record also value their reputation and do not want to be associated with failure  and shy away from it at first whiff. Money does however talk.

We could however take a different route by taking a chance on a up and coming lower league  manager there are various up sides to this he'll cheaper, have first hand knowledge of possible bargain buys in lower and non-leagues. More likely to want to stay around and build something.

Which ever route we go down, time is of essence, do we stick or twist.

One thing is certain a decision needs to made very quickly.
