I said before the series started we need a specialist keeper but Bairstow as performed far worse than I thought he would. Bob Taylor would do better than him now and he’s in his 80’s

As a batter I'd pick him, As a wicket keeper then Foakes is your man, No good scoring 78 then going on a walkabout or dropping a regular catch/stumping

Root takes some beauties but drops some sitters. Hands aren’t relaxed. Too tense.

Bairstow has to anticipate quicker as he doesn’t have Foakes’ reach.

I worry that after Lords and his dropped catches, he will be too hyped up when he comes to bat. The Aussies will certainly be chirping at him.

I envy you Smog, having seen the likes of W G Grace play. How has cricket changed in the centuries since then 🤔 Did you wear your top hat to matches back then too 😊

Yes, kept my caviar and blinis in the hat.

WG was a sort of early Boris. Never believed he would ever be caught out.

That was back when a woman knew her place - scullery by day, bedroom by night.

Sweet times.

Nanny, fetch my blanket. I need some thumb-sucking contemplation time.

Ok he was dropped early but got to hand it to the fella that was a punishment. Brutal innings, we have to regain control here. 300 I’ll be quite happy with. 350 I think we may have a problem control

I reckon we should sign Mark Wood. Just his enthusiasm will do never mind the electric pace. Can he kick a football? Don’t care love him.

Why does he have to be able to kick a football. Collins as just had a season barely kicking one
