Maybe Pirlo style? I think that's a better description. Obviously I'm making no comparison of quality, to be clear ?

Whether he is as good remains to be seen, I have always been impressed.

Sometimes he does because of the space in front of him, but he's not particularly adapt at going past players. He dribbled very little for Swindon. RoyMac5
Fairly turgid midfield play so far, no wonder we've created little. Be better with Gordon as a winger.

Usually you would suggest a loan at this stage but surely he'd be better served staying at Moor Farm?
Animal is a Ram
Love the look of Sibley. Having a cracking game so far at left-back. Thorne looking his usual self, calm, composed, passing nicely, organising. Can tell Martin hasn't had much game time, but linking up okay.

Animal is a Ram
You can see The Derby Way trying to manifest itself - in that this side is trying to use that high pressing, quick movement style from the first team.

Tbf the U23s never stopped playing like that. Wassall's always been a student of it.
Animal is a Ram
Poor that, decent finish, but no one taking ownership. Derby 0-1 Villa
Carl Sagan
Not convinced by Elsnik on the left wing. And a lot of our players are going down very easily, Gordon, Hanson and Martin among them. Villa score after the Rams don't take several opportunities to clear the danger, including two saves from Barnes.

SaintRam
Villa defense are dealing with Blackman depressingly easily. Hanson also looks poor. For Martin, the priority is clearly just fitness, but even he's managing to look at least a little like a first team player.
