Why though? It’s a business like the others you mention. I didn’t become an alcoholic when Pedigree sponsored us, and they had red in the logo? Yes these companies make it easy to gamble and spend money, but when did we stop taking responsibility for our own actions? I see alcohol advertised, i enjoy a drink but advertising doesn't make me an alcoholic. It annoys me i cant go in somewhere like KFC without being told how many calories are in my choice of food..im in KFC i know its not diet flippin food. Ban advertising on alcohol or gambling and it wont stop those with addictions anyway. Look at smoking, they hide them in shops now..does it stop smokers buying them, no. Look at smoking stats the number of smokers has not dropped significantly in the past 15 years even with smoking bans etc in place.
