Boro have won six of their past 10 games, and they looked decent against Sheff Wed. The players looked like they were playing for their manager unlike the Owls.

Surely can’t be for footballing reasons.

wtf - they are only 3 points off the playoffs. I always thought Boro were a well run club that gave it's managers time to build something - guess I was wrong.

@rynny I thought they had the best right back in the division playing for them - they can't be that bad defensively.

I don’t think their Chairman was overly impressed having spent £30 million in the summer and saying they were going to smash the league ( unlike wolves who spent the same and are smashing the league)

See how many goals he was at fault for or how many he is out of position for? My favourite is the last goal moves from a good position and gives the player with the ball the space he needs to get the shot off, whilst not directly his fault, it is something Baird would have snuffed out.

Gibson had said pre-season that he wanted to 'bully the division' or some such rot. Invested heavily, and scraping the fringes of the stop 6 is clearly not cutting it for him. It's McClaren, surely?!

Seems obvious that they've got someone else ready to take over and that was happening whatever the score yesterday.

If it's Pulis this could have been lined up since he became available

I suspect that this would be an agreed point of the season to measure the key performance indicators and being outside the top six is a failure at this point in the season. 

It says a lot when two starting defenders yesterday played for us and we have got far better replacements.

I believe from looking on Middlesbrough forums it was “smash the league”.
