Most sensible post I have seen you make, hopefully we have learned it’s ok to commit cynical fouls to break up the game rather than concede goals. Hopefully we have learned from teams like Spain to cheat to get the win as well.

Second best thing to ever come out of the country, Spanish players have always rolled around as though they have been shot, Costa, Pique, Torres, the lot of them, fair play though it has got them trophies. Nope, they won because they are winners and would do anything to achieve that. Maradona, possibly the best player in the world, yet he cheated when he needed to, same with most countries, something we have never really done. Mafiabob
For saying 5 players made their debuts tonight, a decent performance against a side with a perfect qualifying record, and have won their last 7 games..... Loftus-Cheek looked so natural in that side.....

Millenniumram
Loftus cheek had real class tonight, that’s what these sort of games bring. We’re severly lacking in centre mid and he seems like a proper all round player.
mozza
One thing i will say, we looked more like a team proud to represent their country than in the recent past.

I think that's what happens when you field an English XI who aren't constantly told they're the best thing since sliced bread.

Picked up the ball and drove forward with it, heads up. Really strong debut. Him and Pickford were excellent tonight. * not literally picked up btw - he wasn't playing rugby
