secretsquirrel
Heard an agent being interviewed saying that unless the player was desperate he would advise his client waiting until closer to the deadline as usually it leads to a better deal-maybe thats why these things take so much time-players/agents leaving options open till the last minute

Could suggest the deal with us is edging closer then? Agent talk to generate 'competition' from other clubs so that they can secure Lawrence a better contract? AshfieldRam
If we spend a lot of money on him, play him out of position most of the season and he doesn't immediately get goals will fans start criticising him and wanting to sell him for a 1/4 of the price this time next year?...... Because that seems to be whats happened to Vydra.... Never really been given a run in the team in his preferred position but people are very fast to jump on his back. Although Lawrence will be playing in his preferred position, will people be quick to jump on the price tag again?

Brighton can now afford what Leicester ask - not so sure we can. There again, we don't know how much they want.

I also notice no number 17, 27, 37 or 47. This obviously means Russell is going to be sold in order to complete the 7-lessness.
