Thierry Ennui
He was never more than a back-up, and he always looked a bit uncomfortable, but we had a decent defensive record with Shotton in the side.
superfit
Word in Birmingham is that Shotten will be completing his move to Boro within the next 48 hours for a fee of £2.5m rising to £3.1 with add ons. For the benefit of doubt it's not that Shotten became a different player at Birmingham, their fans think he started well but went of the boil and that there is always a mistake in him. It's just a reflection of the current transfer market.

JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
Claude Davies was about as much use as a penis flavored lollipop. Shotton wasn't 'that' bad. He was consistently bang average.
DerbyPride
I can just imagine a situation where we loan Blackman to a really, really s**** team (such as the Dog & Duck 2nd XI or F*rest) and then immediately recall him, meaning that Rowett's comment about taking another team's best player will be true. King Kevin
Shotton was bang average and that's being kind ,however he will always have a special place in my heart as he scored against the red dogs.

I think you might be right on that Jimbo but I always thought he looked uncomfortable and his positioning left a bit to be desired I do think 2m is tops for him and is a squad player at best
